this isn't going to be aesthetic

this is an important post so please read with diligence and ask any questions you have below, i wanted to make this due to being concerned about in this amino who are in many other fandoms. this is related to kpop but in my opinion anywhere this can be shared is a good idea so that we can spread awareness about this current situation.

so some people may already be aware of this but there is currently a "fancam situation" going around regarding many kpop groups. there are multiple trolls currently on

:exclamation: youtube

and a few other platforms

what is happening exactly??

well i won't go into too much detail but "trolls" are going around on social media platforms and baiting people with kpop fancams, it will start like a normal fancam then the video will cut to another video of gore, sexual acts, overall VERY disturbing stuff. they can be very scary, the can cause serious mental issues for you if you are someone sensitive to some things.

why are they doing this?

i, nor anyone else knows. its very confusing but we have no way of finding out their motive behind this, it is most probably just the people behind this wanting to scare fans [uC]where can i find more information about this?

how can i avoid these videos?

first and foremost only watch fancams from creditable s, such as official channels, official s with a high reputation, ect. secondly, turn off autoplay wherever possible. on instagram and whatsapp they are dming you as well with these fancams, so block messages from people you do not know if they contain a fancam, then report and block the straight away.

the reason why i am bringing this to your attention is because unfortunately before i found out about this situation i happened to watch one of these videos, i was unable to sleep afterwards and struggled a bit to fully digest and start to get over what i had seen.

i don't want anyone else who is yet to find out about this situation to be subjected to such a thing, so please please please be careful! look out for yourself and make sure to only watch fancams from reliable channels, s, ect.

we don't know when or if this situation will stop so all we can do before then is make sure that we let our friends know about this if we can and also ** if you are a staff anywhere ** possibly suggest or post a psa in regards to this situation so that we can spread awareness.
