Hello everyone! I'm Suzy and

today I wanted to reccomend

you some cool books!

─────────────────

I've wanted to make this for such

a long time, but I couldn't bring

myself to do it bc of the length of

the post - so expect second part

soon!

Oh, and also, just so you know -

all the books are in Polish & I

don't know if they are available

in other countries.

Bestiary of Animals - Witold Vargas

This publishing house has already made

many mythological books, although most

of them are less satyssfaying then you

think they would be. Not this one tho!

After the Slavic Bestiary series, one of its

authors, Witold Vargas, prepared a sequel,

this time entirely devoted to real animals.

Each page is is beautifully illustrated and

has lots of description (compared to the

previous books, there is much more infor-

mation!) like, what was believed to be their

orgin, how can they be used for magic,

healing, rituals and many more!

Nordic Mythology - Neil Geiman

I'm 100% sure it also can be found abroad

- the author is Neil Geiman after all. He's

known for writting "Coraline", "The Ocean at

the End of the Lane" and "American Goods".

The book is a retelling of several stories

from Norse Mythology. I don't know how

true the author stayed to myths (bc it's my

first Norse Mythology book), but I'm pretty

sure that someone so ionate wouldn't

change important fragments.

Gifts of the gods - Witold Jabłoński

I got it recomended by my dad and

reading it was very addictive! It is 14 fairy

tales about Slavic mythology with a lot of

great illustrations created by Bernadet

Leśniowska-Gustyn. I think it's a great

started for those who want to learn more

about slavic myths.

Slavic Underworld - Paweł Szczepanik

Another book about Slavic beliefs - especially

the underground. The information was provided

in a scientific manner, so it was difficult to

read it. All tho, in a way that's an advantage

of the book - it meets the criteria of a scientific

study, so it can be helpful for let's say...

a school project?

It's everything I've got for you today!

Hope you like it and see you soon!
