Many mythical creatures are scary, though some are do lean more to the grotesque side. Since grotesque has many meanings, it is referring to mythical creature that is scary in a repulsive, disgusting way. So,
What is the most grotesque mythical creature?
I have to go with the Nuckelavee for this. This mythical creature is from Orkney (a group of islands that are north-east from Scotland). This creature is described to an one-eyes horse with the torso of a human stuck on its back. The human part has long arms that touches the ground and its head acts like one of those bobble head toys. Now, you might be thinking something along the lines of ‘Okay, that sounds weird but where is the grotesque part?’. Well, the Nuckelavee has no skin. Yeah... this creature fits the definition of grotesque (in this context) in my opinion. It is also said to bring plague and famine with it.
So, what is a mythical creature you think is the most grotesque? Say what it is in the comments below!

The Nuckelavee and the Windigo scare the living daylights out of me
The Windigo. It’s a cannibalistic monster of Native American myth!
