Backstory:

Once hailed as The Crimson Lion of Solusta, King Alec Lionheart ruled his kingdom with the strength of a warrior and the heart of a devoted father. Adorned in red and gold royal armor and bearing the legendary talisman of Solusta—a sacred charm once said to be gifted by the Goddess Clan—Alec was both feared in battle and beloved by his people.

Alec’s reign began in prosperity, hand in hand with his beloved queen, Vela, a radiant and kind ruler known for her affinity with nature magic. The two were inseparable and brought a daughter into the world, Serene, whom they cherished above all else. Their castle echoed with laughter, and Solusta flourished under their gentle rule.

But joy was not meant to last.

One moonless night, Queen Vela vanished without a trace—no blood, no struggle, only the whispers of arcane energy lingering in her chambers. With her disappearance, Alec's heart hollowed. Yet for Serene’s sake, he endured. Years ed, and the weight of the crown grew heavier.

Then came Delia Dragnin—a stunning and mysterious noblewoman who appeared at court one stormy evening. She was charming, intelligent, and seemed to fill the void Vela left behind. Blinded by loneliness and the allure of Delia’s beauty, Alec fell under her spell—literally and figuratively.

But what Alec did not know was that Delia was a powerful sorceress from the Demon Realm, a secret agent of Zeldris, brother of Meliodas and the then-acting ruler of the Demon Clan. Zeldris, aware of an ancient prophecy that foretold the rise of the Fire and Ice Maidens who would one day ignite a rebellion to purify the Mystic Realm, had sent Delia to prevent it. That Fire maiden, was the child Serene.

Delia became Serene’s stepmother, hiding her true nature behind a facade of regality and maternal warmth. But on the eve of Solusta's grand Festival of Lights, Alec caught a glimpse of her true form—hovering above Serene in her chambers, casting a vile soul-draining incantation.

Rage. Despair. Resolve.

In that moment, Alec Lionheart made the ultimate sacrifice. Using the sacred Lionheart Talisman, he unleashed a forbidden sealing spell—a one-time-only invocation—binding Delia’s demonic soul and banishing her back to the Demon Realm. The backlash of the spell, however, tore through Alec’s own life force.

With his final breath, he summoned Talia, Vela’s younger sister and a skilled spellblade. Alec entrusted Serene to her, begging Talia to hide the child away from the eyes of both humans and demons, and to train her when the time came.

As dawn rose, the Kingdom of Solusta mourned its lion-hearted king. His name would be etched into legend—not just as a king, but as a father who gave his life to protect the spark that would one day save the world.
