Why The Switch Works Well and Why it's My Favorite Console

Hey guys! I'm Jewel, though you may already have known that. Boy, have I got a lot fo](https://image.staticox.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fpm1.aminoapps.programascracks.com%2F6694%2Fc356d6c252f5aee850ff85113dd9ef5f692d217c_hq.jpg)
The Switch is actually my favorite console of all time. Why? Because it is so easy to just pull it out of your bag and play on the go.
The Switch allows you to get the most play time out of your games by allowing you to play it portably. Having it on the go only increases the time you can play your favorite games. And if you've ever wanted an easy to setup multiplayer game on the go then the Switch has your back. Not only that but if your tired and don't want to hold up your arms you can have the Joycons off the grip to play games like a Wiimote and Nunchuck without a cord.
Now you probably know this all so why am I telling you it? Because this stuff is why it's my favorite console ever. It might not be the strongest, but it has so many ways to play that it can allow you to have a lot of play time with a game just by bringing it on a bus. I've actually had times like that too. Bringing my Switch on my bus to play Zelda is so much fun! My bus rides are about 40 minutes going, and back so I got a whole hour and 20 minutes more play time than I would've normally. Then whenever I have a free period in school I'm allowed to use it again. Those periods are about 40 minutes so now I'm at 2 more hours of Switch I can play every school day because of my Switch. That is why I love it, and why it works so well.

The worst thing about Mario vs. Rabbids
By Elm
Me- This has opinions in it.
You Guys- (scream in terror)
—————————————————————
What is the worst part of Mario vs Rabbids? The worst part of Mario and Rabbids is the artwork. You thought I was done with my entry, but no I’m not. Now don’t don’t get me wrong, I love the artwork in Mario vs Rabbids. It’s all so amazing and chaotic, but it’s all wrong.
Mario vs Rabbids is a game about fusion. Everything in the game should actually be fused. A lot of the things are, but I’m referring to the characters. Our four main rabbids, Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Yoshi. This is cosplay. I’m going to explain all these outfits in one sentence.
Rabbid Mario: Someone going to a convention.
Rabbid Luigi: What I would throw on for school.
Rabbid Peach: What my little sister would throw on for school.
Rabbid Yoshi: A onesie you bought at Target. (I might of went a bit too far.)
This kinda makes sense in my eyes. These characters need to me recognizable so I’ll make an exception, but the bosses. I’m personally referring to these three bosses: Pirabbid Plant, Bwario, and Bwaluigi. Let me talk about Bwario and Bwaluigi. Why? Why is everything about these two characters so lazy? One, it’s cosplay; two, they are already existing designs. Same weapons and everything, and just slapped new clothing on them. I’m done here.
Let’s me talk about Pirabbid Plant. This character had so much potential! Why didn’t they do all out? It’s so stupid on how lazy these people got. I think this character had so much potential, but they just didn’t do what they should of. If I can brake a character down it’s lazy.
Pirabbid Plant: Leftover Halloween mask, bandana, shorts, slinkies as bracelets, and mechanical legs.
This characters is just to simple. Let me show you what I came up with.
![The Switch Chronicle Issue 8-[IMG=0DW]
Hey guys! I'm Jewel, though you may already have known that. Boy, have I got a lot fo](https://image.staticox.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fpm1.aminoapps.programascracks.com%2F6694%2F71ebf1136eeef4c8f353b8d1bff92e1453161a01_hq.jpg)
Instead of putting a rabbid into a futuristic Halloween costume I decided to use elements from, Petey Piranha (hands, face, mouth, dots, and petals), elements from a rabbid (lips, stomach, ears, and base color), and from Pirabbid Plant (waist, flower pot, legs). I think I succeeded, and you better be prepared to see this as one of my entries.
One of the best designs in the game (in my opinion) is Rabbid Kong. It is just so cool! Simple, yes, but what were you expecting. DK doesn’t have a lot of design, but that’s why it works so well. Put a simple character with another simple character. It works well. Just take a look at this design.

Hey guys! I'm Jewel, though you may already have known that. Boy, have I got a lot fo](https://image.staticox.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fpm1.aminoapps.programascracks.com%2F6694%2F15712d4ef13555c5320cc5b2d15bffe3e091531c_hq.jpg)
This is Rabbidchu, my other entry. Pikachu and a rabbid work so well together. Both body shapes are so similar, but they can also add on to each other. It has Pikachu (tips of ears, eyes, cheeks, arms, tail), while it also has a rabbid (shape of ears, inside of ears, mouth, lips, stomach). It has a good mixture of both characters.
This was going to be one of my regular blogs; until, a spot opened up. I was going to make this because I want it to open some people’s eyes. I say this: you can do cosplay (a lazy way, but they can turn out really good), simple + simple (a easy, but creative way of doing it), or you can go over the top (no matter what it’s going to be challenging, but might be a monstrosity or really fun.)
——————————————————————-
Thank you for ready. I enjoyed making, and I hope you enjoyed ready. Have a wonderful rest of your day.

Why I Think The Switch Is A Big Success
By Sai
Whether you’re willing to it it or not, it’s a fact that the WiiU was not nearly as successful as it was supposed to be. Nintendo made some mistakes with how they went about the WiiU, but I’d say that they very much fixed them with the Switch. I’d like to explain what I think Nintendo did in order to make the Switch a success, unlike what they did with the Wii’s predecessor. Let’s get into it.
🛑WARNING: THIS IS MY OPINION. DO NOT GET MAD PLEASE🛑
1. The Switch Had A Fresh, Exciting Concept
![The Switch Chronicle Issue 8-[IMG=0DW]
Hey guys! I'm Jewel, though you may already have known that. Boy, have I got a lot fo](https://image.staticox.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fpm1.aminoapps.programascracks.com%2F6694%2F6cecd93cc6f310c6640e505686f947136f77d08f_hq.jpg)
We’re starting off with some very controversial stuff...
The Nintendo Switch has a concept that no other mainstream console has used at the time. Sure, you could say that the PS Vita was somewhat similar, but it definitely wasn’t exactly this. This is a tablet you can take anywhere, but then project whatever’s on the screen onto your television screen with a dock. If your friends have a dock, you could use their television, too. Want to play multiplayer anywhere? Take one of the joycons from the side of your tablet, and give one to a friend.
The Switch gave so many new possibilities. As they say, you can play anytime, anywhere, with anyone. It was fresh, exciting, and already enough of a reason to justify your purchase. The Switch differentiates itself from everything else immediately, so you know this something new, and you’ll think it’s something great when looking at it.
What The Switch Did Better Than The WiiU
The WiiU didn’t have enough of the new ideas to separate it from the Wii. I’m pretty sure that most people saw it as an Add-On to the Wii, and not as another Console. The Switch Had new features that everyone wanted, but the WiiU had not as much good stuff. It seemed to look like Nintendo was advertising a gamepad for the Wii. Speaking of which...
2. The Switch Had Great Advertising
The very first trailer we saw of this new console ed 30 million views, and was number one on YouTube’s trending for a bit. Everyone was excited to share this trailer with their friends because it was made to look like the brand new chapter of gaming, made for everyone, and NOT. JUST. KIDS.
This trailer didn’t have a single kid in it. The people were all teens and adults. The reason this makes such a difference is because now, less people see the console as something meant for “babies” (there are still people who think this, but there are less).
The ads and trailers shown afterwards did have kids playing the game, but they were mixed in with a bunch of older people, showing that everyone could love the console.
Plus, you could actually find these ads everywhere! If you watch YouTube videos, television, go to electronic stores regularly, or read articles about games, then you definitely saw something about the Switch. The marketing was phenomenal to me.
What The Switch Did Better Than The WiiU
The WiiU’s marketing was an utter disaster to many people. The ads was full of kids acting stupid and laughing annoyingly. They were so cringeworthy that I didn’t want to watch them, and I’M A KID! And I was even younger during that time! There were some ads with mostly adults, but the kids took over most of the time.
The advertising even made it confusing as to whether the console was new or an Add-On to the Wii.
The only places I saw these ads back in 2012 were on some YouTube videos, and *sigh*...
Disney Channel.
I don’t need to explain further.
3. The games keep on coming!
The Switch has super strong first party games. Zelda, Mario Kart, Splatoon, Xenoblade, and a new 3D Sandbox Mario, all in the same year? And that’s not even all of it. Sure, Zelda was released for the WiiU as well, but all of those other games made a very promising console even better. Also, more people purchased BOTW on the Switch ;)
![The Switch Chronicle Issue 8-[IMG=0DW]
Hey guys! I'm Jewel, though you may already have known that. Boy, have I got a lot fo](https://image.staticox.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fpm1.aminoapps.programascracks.com%2F6694%2F7337885bc5f16887ee3a8dc5e2052cea70833535_hq.jpg)
But that’s just the first year! We’ve already gotten an announcement for a Kirby game, a new mainline Pokemon, Metroid Prime 4, and more, coming right to the Switch. Plus, there’s going to inevitably be a new Animal Crossing and Smash Bros. game, so that’s something to be hyped up for.
One of most notable things about the Switch’s games lineup: SO MUCH THRID PARTY. It’s not PS4 amounts of third party, but it’s really a great amount for a Nintendo console, which are known to have a very small amount of them. We have Rocket League, Doom, Skyrim, LA Noire, and many more. Who knows how much more will come later, but I’m sure that it’s enough for people to really want the console.
Of course, a hype factor for the Switch that makes up for lower graphics is... the portability that everyone loves. Playing a game like an open world Zelda on the toilet?? Some people probably bought the system just for that.
What The Switch Did Better Than The WiiU
The WiiU didn’t have enough games to satisfy the people. There were definitely GOOD games, without a doubt, but there wasn’t enough of them. I the stale times when there were like two games coming every 6 months or something.
Everyone and their moms complained about how little the third party was. It was practically nothing, which worsened the fact that there already weren’t many games coming.
Well, that’s all of the reasons I’ve got for now. If you’re mad at me for saying all this bad stuff about the WiiU, let me tell ya: I LOVED the system. But looking back, I noticed how many flaws the system had. We shouldn’t be biased for it, because you are allowed to complain about something you like.
The Switch has made 2017 my favorite year for gaming. Two of my favorite games of all time (guess which ones), along with my favorite system of all time? Wow.
This Amino also made a huge difference for my gaming experience. I’ve had so much fun chatting with others about the game I love. Here’s to another great year for the Switch and the Amino!

Before NSA, I was different, I had less friends, I spent less time on my phone, I wasn't who am I now. But, when NSA came into life in June 2017, it changed my life, and I'm never going back.
How my ion for Nintendo grew
Before NSA, I was a big fan of Nintendo, but NSA mad it bigger! Now I knew updates on games coming out for Switch (Thanks Angelo254) I could discuss my love for Nintendo Switch with other Switch fans. I made many friends on this Amino, and I enjoy everyday of it, Thank you to the wonderful Staff Team, without them this amino wouldn't be as great as it is now.
My Writing Skills, Improved?
When I ed NSA, I made (rubbish) Polls, eventually I started making better content with "The Ashy Show", compared to what I could write in June to now, I've Improved alot, and I enjoy writing about Nintendo!
2017, what a year
2017 has been great for me, The Switch released, Great games like Super Mario Odyssey and Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild released. And of course, I ed this amino. The contests, the posts, the s, all of this amino is great. The amount of time and effort The staff team (and some s) put into this amino is incredible. I enjoy going on NSA daily to see what great posts s have made, or to chat with other s. Overall, 2017 has been the best year of my life, and part of that is due to this Amino. Thank you.
2017 Has been a big year for me, so thank you NSA, without you, I don't know where I would be.

By Jewel
It's no secret by now that the Switch is doing VERY well. Like, it's already about to outsell the Wii U in less than a year well. So let's go back through the year and see it. Ups and downs included, but there really aren't many downs sooooo...
Let's get started
It all started with a little something I like to call great hype movement. Yep, that terrible presentation on the 12th of January. It didn't really show off a lot of what people wanted to see, but it showed off A LOT of games that people did really want to see. Ges like Super Mario Odyssey and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 were shown off and everyone we as hyped! People were even somewhat excited for 1, 2, Switch! at the time.
So March rolled around and the system hit store shelfs.
OH MY GOD, WE HAVE A LOT TO COVER
Speed Tidbits
Breath of the Wild got perfect review scores across the board
ARMS came out and sold really well. It held a decent community for a while, then Splatoon 2 came out.
Splatoon 2 launched to critical acclaim and shows no signs of slowing down in of community.
Okay, okay, okay, okay. Hold it right there, Jewel. You need something to extend this article's don't you?
Yes, I do, subconscious. That's why I'm starting back at regular speed with Super Mario Odyssey. You may be asking "What about Mario + Rabbids?" Well guess what? That wasn't made by Nintendo so ha on u. Super Mario Odyssey was possibly the most hyped game game of the year. Needless to say, the game was good. It was so good, that it also received many perfect scores from reviewers. Just not as many as Breath of the Wild. The game was the first open-world Mario game in years, so I guess that's to be expected.
So let's move on then, shall we? After Super Mario Odyssey, there was a tiny hibernation of Nintendo games throughout November. Then one last first party game came out just one day after November. Yep, you know the one.
HOLY CRAP! I LOVE THIS GAME!
Shut up, subconscious. This article is about facts, not opinions.
Xenoblade 2 is another Open World RPG, somewhat like Zelda: Breath of the Wild from earlier. They are in the same subgenre, but this game focuses more on narrative than BotW which is a good contrast. This game launched to pretty high review scores. Nothing like what Nintendo's in-house teams made, but definitely up there. It stands with a strong Metacritic Score of 85 to this day. That's pretty good if you ask me.
So yeah. Not many downs. I skipped quite a lot too. There were way more details to be shared about the games I only touched on. Not to mention that there were a lot of games that I just didn't touch on at all. However, this article is already very long and I think you are probably sick of all the reading you have done. Just one more, I promise.
See ya around!

By Angelo
Hello everyone! Angelo here and today we will talk about the success of the Nintendo Switch in 2018. Will the console's success keep growing or it will loose popularity? Let's discuss it together!
Sales.
The console has sold already 10 millions units in just 9 months, and, of course it will keep selling.
If it sold more than 2 millions units at launch, with just The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and a few other games available, we could guess that at this point, with a lot of major first and third party games available and coming out soon, with also a lot of indies and exclusives, its success is most likey going to keep being the same or even bigger.
Games.
As mentioned before, we have a lot of games still coming to the Switch in 2018, with also some Switch-exclusives such as Bayonetta 1 + 2 and three games from Bandai Namco, which weren't revealed yet.
We also have a lot of indies and most important: first party games. For example we have Yoshi 2018, Kirby Star Allies and, maybe, Pokémon Switch, which will surely sell a lot of copies, helping the Switch to sell a lot more.
Online.
Next year, Switch players will have to pay for an online subscription if they want to keep playing online or to use the Nintendo Switch Online App.
Since the price is pretty low ($20 yearly), it probably won't matter that much for some people, however it was important to note here.
Players will understand better the console's point.
Yoshiaki Koizumi (General Producer of Super Mario Odyssey and Nintendo Switch console) said during an interview that the Switch's point is to let players bring it outside and play it with friends, who could be interested from it and then buy one themselves. Well, even thought a lot of people started to do this already, many more are still a bit "scared" or not interested to bring their Switch with them outside.
Once everyone will be more "confident" with the portability of the console we could expect to see more people bringing it outside and attract other people's attention to the console.
Possible price cuts.
This year, the Nintendo Switch did not get any price cut even during Thanksgiving or other holidays. Althought it still sold a lot.
We could expect it to sell even more if next year in case it will get any price cut, which we should expect with also more bundles.
Third Party companies have now been attracted by the console.
Since the console has sold a lot, and it is still selling, a lot of third party companies are starting to develop more games for the console. Capcom, as example, has started to show a lot of interest towards the console since they noticed its huge success.
Other companies that have been loyal to the Switch ever since it was released (such as Square Enix, Ubisoft, Bandai Namco, SEGA, and others), will find more interest into bringing old and new games to the console, and maybe the could also make some exclusives for the console.
Nintendo's .
What really matters for a console, is the from the company that made it, and Nintendo actually is ing it, a lot though and not just by releasing games on it, but also by promoting it a lot to let people know about the console and its games better.
What are your thoughts about that? How do you think next year will be for Nintendo Switch and what do you expect?
-Angelo254

Wow
What a year. 2017 held a lot in store for us. The Switch launched, and with it, many amazing games. E3 was bigger and better than ever with many new franchses shown off. Many Third Parties came to the Switch and built games for it that seemed impossible! Nintendo even won their first Game of the Year award! So then, let's finish this with an internet-toast. Here's to 2018! That it may be just as exciting as this year has been!
