Bookmark was an accidental. His mother, a piece of bamboo paper, got drunk one night at a bar party. She was took advantage of by a book. He was born 9 months later and was raised by his mother. His life was normal, even though his mom didn't expect him, he loved his outgoing and caring self. 11 years later, he starts seeing his classmates and friends have not just mother, but a dad too. Bookmark is flabbergasted each time he sees one. He asks his mother, "Why do they have a dad, but not me?". His mother answered and said that his father she doesn't know about. She said this every single time he asked. Fathers day comes up, the kids start talking about their dads (bookmark was in a year round school), and they ask bookmark, "who's your dad?". Bookmark responds, "I don't know." They laugh at him. "You SERIOUSLY don't know your dad? HAHAHAHA" They bully him. "Oh noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, is your non existent dad gonna save you? wah wah wah!" This happens days on end, even weeks.

Does bookmark tell his mom? No. He's afraid he will get bullied even more for being a "pussy". After this, he only has one friend. All other friends have ed the bullies' side to prevent them from getting any more abuse. You wanna know who that one friend is?

Rk.

Or known as "Rick" at the time, since he wasn't as rusty. In fact, 60% of him was still gold. Or yellow, idfk. During this time, Rk comforts Bookmark, helping him through the trama and abuse, even to the point where he beats the living shit out of the bullies. With this duo, they would be unstoppable. The "intelligence" of Bookmark, and the strength of Rk. The two went through high school cleanly, no more bullies, only fun. Even Rk gets a girlfriend on the way too.

After high school, Both bookmark and Rk decide to put themselves in the photo and film industry. Yes, these two industries in our world are both in the same industry in the object world. The two get an Ask blog position, thanks to their unique personality traits (Is it unique, I don't know). Rk goes gold, while Bookmark fails at it, but he does become a camera man afterwards.

Bookmark sadly doesn't really hang out with Rk anymore, they have kind of gone there separate ways. But that does not mean that Bookmark has no friends! Bookmark regularly goes to a bar to hang out with his older aged new friends, Blue stick, pyramid, and book. Not just any book, a red book. The friends always joke around how Stick is blue, pyramid is green, and bookmark and book are both red. The group of friends hang out all the time, each with their own bond. Pyramid and blue stick are childhood friends, book and pyramid saved saved each others lives at one point, bookmark and blue stick are super competitive at object war (chess in their world), Blue stick and book know a Fuck ton about alcohol, and bookmark and book have a family like bond.

But you wanna know why bookmark and book have that bond?

That same book is the book that took advantage of Bookmark's mom in the same exact bar the friends hang out in.
