I made some hb, but i haven't made any in so long I am not to confident in it. Specifically, I made a "Robold" character race, really just a kobold but robot. I am a huge fan of sci-fi. The images in this post is how the homebrew stands, and the text below was a suggestion given to me by some one I had already asked. This is intended to replace "Calculated Risk".
When a creature you see attacks another creature you see within five feet of you, you may spend your reaction to give the creature being attacked bonus ac equal to your constitution modifier. You may use this feature a number of times equal to your constitution modifier, all uses returning after a long rest.
My question is how should I Improve my homebrew, and should I replace Calculated risk with my friend's suggestion?

The current calculated risk looks like something the figher, paladin or barbarian might have. In fact I'm confident there's a similar battle master maneuver.
But if a class with lots of hp and ac gets it it's fine, but here since this is a race this could be a wasted trait. If you make a wizard robold, you'll end up never using calculated risk, as you have d6 hp and no armor.
I don't think it's a bad ability, just the replacement trait fits a wider amount of situations, which is always good for a race since it's not your specialization –your class is.
That aside it's very solid. I like the alternative take on sunlight sensitivity!
Thanks Math! The alternative take on Sunlight sensitivity was going to be used for a kobold that I just flavor texted into a robot, but homebrew was the better route I think
