Punches were being thrown, legs were flying though the air knocking out anyone that came in with them. Blood stained the alley as Dick violently scraped a thug’s face across a brick wall. He threw him to the ground knocking him out cold.

Another man tried to attack Dick as Robin of course but he grabbed his arm and stepped on his ankle causing it to break. He flipped another henchman over onto his back knowing he wouldn’t be standing up anytime soon.

Finally the last man stood. He tried to stab Dick but he kicked the knife out of his hand. Over and over again he punched the man until blood was on his knuckles and he was unconscious.

“Dick?” You asked standing in the alley looking more frightened than ever.

This was a dream it couldn’t be real.

“Y/N, baby how long have you been standing there for?” He asked worried.

“Long enough to realize the monster I’ve been with this entire time.” Tears rolled down your cheeks.

Dick tried to walk up to you but you took a few steps back.

“No I’m not I would never-”

“You would never hurt me? That’s hard to believe seeing what you’ve done to them.” You pointed at the men on the ground.

They were stained with blood, bruises and scratch marks. However they were all hurt differently. One had an ankle broken, another had an arm broken, one had their neck snapped.

“Baby please I would never do anything to you I love you.” Dick’s voice cracked as tears started forming in his eyes.

“I can’t be with you. I can’t be with a murderer.” You said turning your back and walking away.

Dick tried to run after you but an invisible force was stopping him. He couldn’t move it was like he was stuck in place.

“No Y/N! Please come back! I love you, I need you don’t leave me please!”

“Not you please not you!” Dick exclaimed as he woke up.

You were worried to death you had been trying to wake up Dick for the past 5 minutes. And now that he was up he looked so scared.

“Baby what happened? Are you okay?” You asked.

Dick didn’t say anything, instead he pulled you into a tight hug. He nuzzled his head into the crook of your neck and sighed in relief. He wanted to cry but he didn’t want to worry you more than you already were.

You held him close to you and rubbed his back with one hand while you rested your other hand in his hair trying to calm him down.

“Why are you with me? I’m a monster. You deserve so much better.” You could hear the pain in Dick’s voice.

“Honey you are not a monster. You are my better, I want to be with you.”

“But I beat people up everyday.” Dick looked up at you studying your face for emotions.

“Yeah but that’s your job as Robin. You have to defend yourself and the people in this city. You fight back, you don’t just beat up people for no reason.” You pointed out.

“You know I’d never hurt you right?” Dick asked. “I know.” You replied cupping his cheek.

“You are my light in all the darkness. I love you, I never want to lose you.” Dick hugged you again and of course you hugged him back.

“I love you too and you’ll never lose me. I’m not going anywhere Dick.” You reassured him.

“Good because I need you.” “And I’m always going to be here.” You placed a kiss on Dick’s lips.

“Now let’s go to sleep.” He nodded.

You laid down and so did Dick. He pulled you into his chest and you nuzzled into him. His arms wrapped around you while he rested his chin on top of your head.

Soon enough you both fell asleep. Dick was snoring softly, not too loud. He was still holding onto you and that’s how it was going to be until the morning.
