Candice Michelle is a retired professional wrestler who was in WWE from 2004 to 2009. In my opinion she is one of the best female WWE wrestlers of all time and definitely one of my favorites. I think people like her were the true starters of the women’s revolution from the 2000s.

Not surprisingly, she was mostly hired for her looks. She auditioned for Diva Search but was just placed in diva contests on RAW. In 2005 she was moved from RAW to SmackDown! Her first storyline was with Torrie Wilson and Melina. She ed a group called Vince’s Devils with Victoria and Torrie Wilson to taunt and hate on Ashley Massaro.

After multiple storylines that didn’t exactly use Candice’s wrestling ability, in a match with Trish Stratus and Torrie Wilson against Victoria and Mickie James where she was the guest referee, she threw Mickie out of the ring and allowed Trish to perform Stratusfaction on Victoria, so she became a fan favorite. She won a match against Lita afterwards, but then suffered a (non-storyline) broken nose from Victoria which put her out of action for a little. She came back in early 2006 where her and Mickie defeated Victoria and Melina, with Candice bringing the win for her team. She feuded with Melina where Melina ended up winning the feud. Candice started training harder to improve in ring abilities. She received a push where she won matches against Victoria and Melina.

Her feud against Melina continued and at Vengeance in 2007, she won the WWE Women’s Championship, a title she held for 105 days until losing it to Beth Phoenix at No Mercy. In a match against Phoenix she suffered multiple injuries which put her out of action for months. People say she was never the same after her injury from Beth.

She returned to in ring action in March 2008, defeating Jillian Hall and Victoria with Maria. In the match she suffered another injury in her left shoulder and was replaced in a WrestleMania match. She underwent surgery and returned to in ring action in September 2008 and defeated Jillian, Katie Lea Burchill, and Beth with Kelly Kelly and Mickie. Candice pinned Phoenix to score the win in the match. She was pushed and became #1 contender for the Women’s Championship, but she lost to Beth at No Mercy. Candice was once again defeated by Beth on RAW after interference from Rosa Mendes and Santina Marella.

In 2009, Candice Michelle was drafted to SmackDown! but never appeared on the brand and was released in summer 2009.

Her finisher is called the Candywrapper.

Her theme song is called What Love Is.

Her retirement match was on the independent circuit against Victoria in 2017, which she won.
