What are Bots?

Bots are essentially s that aren't real people (such as your ), but essentially a group of spam esque s run by one person who will send out spam links to websites (such as sexual ones, gaming websites etc) that could potentially damage/hack your device or send you further inappropriate images/links. They don't often have complex names, often a normal name followed by a bunch of digits such as: Amber14467, Beth16895, Olivia14295

How to protect yourself from bots

Method 1: Flag the Profile

1. Click on the three dots on the profile

2. Click "Flag for Review"

3. Report on the options "Something they said" or "Spam"

Method 2: Flag the Message

1. Press & Hold on the message, click "Flag for Review"

2. Click on "Spam"

Method 3: the Mod Team

The final way to protect yourself is to a member of the mod team. We have an official chatroom which is the Alyssa (Curator)
