I dont really understand it I always post the finished product and watermark it.
Can someone explain it further?
I do get the stolen art thing, but why proof process is needed is the main question - Rezdain :spades:

Sorry, let me try this again. Somehow the day ended up frying my brain again =_=
But anyways, proofs are needed in order to that artwork/edit was truly made by you.
You ever go on Pinterest, and find a fanart of a series you really like? But imagine this - on that Pinterest there is only the watermark, no mention as to who actually created it.
The image also gets reposted so many times on sites like these. Without a proof shot, if you the artist were to post without it, who can 100% say in confidence that its yours? Not unless he/she knows youe specific art style or have followed you for a bit?
So essentially its a way of help people track true art/edit sources. That way, if situation come need be, they can properly find thats its you who truly made the creative work

I mean I do the same when it comes to my edits as well. But just in case I always wind up providing proofs. You should see how strict Anime Amimo it, for any posts you want featured there practically needs the entire draw/edit process explained LOL
Anyways, I see your recent post. It's not that I'm assuming any art you post is always stolen. I just put that example for you never know what would happen, so providing proofs is a good way of allowing others see you were the original author. I get it, most other platforms don't do this. And it's more of a feature feed requirement here, and as on most Amino comms. So its not like providing proofs is always necessary.

I see and I don't ever plan on to be on featured feed, just basic feed
