Greetings Creators!
In the "Verified Title" poll posted, I had many of you list your concerns and criticisms with why this rule would or would not be beneficial. There were also concerns with the current signature rule, and why it should be altered to fit the current activity of the community. This place is for you guys to enjoy so I'd like to get another round of opinions and critiques on that rule. The topic of today is::
Signatures/Watermarks
For those that are unaware the signature rule serves many purposes but not limited to the following:
•Knowing who's done what drawing
•Proof of ownership to creation
•And most of all, to prevent art theft
Here's the link to the rules in full, for those that want to review them.
Now this rule isn't a fool proof method to solving the problem of art theft, but it serves its intended purpose. Our community has gotten smaller over the years so the question I have for you guys is simple.
Should we update the current signature rules?
What this means for the rule itself is making it less strict and/or changing the requirements for posting. It doesn't mean we're getting rid of the rule. I implore you to take a look at the rules yourself and see whether or not change is necessary. If you have for us then that is greatly appreciated, but not required for the poll.
This poll is to gather as much information as possible so I ask that you PLEASE take this poll seriously. Your contributions make this community better.

I actually changed my vote lol
I'm not super into the signature rule but i feel like the verification rule is perfect. At the same time the signature rule is also great for those not verified yet. So i wouldn't change it i guess but I'd add the verification addition for sure. I think a person first few posts and reactions to the rules also gives an impression on the person's art capability, attitude, thoughts on copying art. So maybe the signature rule could be mandatory until level four or five where then verification becomes an option. A level thats easy to reach but also enough that they need to post a few times with the signature rule to earn it. It also gives mods a chance to learn their vibe and trust for the verification rule depending if they've caused trouble.
I like the idea of not needing to show proof, so I'd like to not do that when having a verified title. However, I think that signatures should ALWAYS be added onto art, whether you have a verified title or not. And like you've mentioned before, it's easy to have a signature, and it's not hard to put in. Signatures make it alot more difficult to steal art, and sometimes it's not easy to edit out, so we don't want to give people an advantage to put their own watermark onto an art that isn't actually their's.
