Hello Everyone! Hope you’re all having a fantastic day!
So last week of May, I was thinking to myself that for June I wanted to go all out with something ambitious. Something I’ve never done been. Something so out of my character you would think I was hacked. I wanted to create a drawing based off of a flag I knew, and potentially ones I didn’t know of, every single day and post them here. That was the original plan. As you can see by my consistent lack of posts that has never happened. Why? Because art block is a b-
HOWEVER! To make it up to myself I decided that for this month’s challenge, instead of creating individual pieces for each flag, I would take my own original characters plus infamous ones from media and make collages of sketches. They didn’t have to be colored in nor canonical (though I did my very best to draw as many canon LGBTQ+ characters as possible), they just had to be done. That was my only goal for this entire month because my goodness was it tough to get myself to do anything productive- And I can confidently say I did exactly that! I met my goal!
Well… Nearly.
Let me explain.
Originally, the revision was quite simple. I would do three collages: Archillean, Sapphic, and Transgender. For those of you who don’t know, Archillean is a broad term to describe gay men or nonbinary individuals who align with it. Sapphic has the same definition but is used for gay women or nonbinary people who align with it. Transgender is self explanatory. During the making of the collages though, I started to panic a bit. Every time I looked at the date on my phone, I saw that the end date was closing in. Since I’ve noticed I’m much slower at drawing than I thought (one collage took a full day or two to make) I decided against the last one (for now!).
All this to say, I bring you all three pictures. Two sketched collages and a colored in art piece! The first two are of Archillean and Sapphic, and the last one I turned into one big piece of my avatar Kyrie! I hope you all enjoy these sketches and have a wonderful rest of your day!!

I just wanna say… We definitely need way more Archillean representation in media. There are so many Sapphics (which I adore so much!), but during the creation of these I was so stumped wondering, “Now where did all our gay men go?” A sad question to ask honestly. I ran out of canonic ships and characters so quickly that I was raking up old head-canon ships with all my brain power. The gears were turning at max speed. I couldn’t think of a single character! I got it to work out in the end, but I think in comparison to the Sapphic sketches, the amount of space left is quite drastic…
Regardless! Thank you for taking your time to read this post. If you enjoyed looking at this, let me know what your favorite gay ship is (canonical or head-canon), I’m curious! I may also potentially do another sketch collage but of transgender characters soon (don’t take this as set in stone though. Most likely I won’t haha). Thank you again, and I’ll catch you all again whenever the next post will be. Next month? Two to twenty years from now? A millennia? Who knows.
Alright, byeee!

Awesome entry! I can tell you put a lot of work into your drawing and I'm happy you were able to finish everything up!
Thank you! It was a bit of a challenge- I still have so much I need to improve on- but it was fun to simply participate, and draw characters I both enjoy and have never drawn before^^
