Welcome Creators to today's poll session of:
Would You Rather?
If you weren't here when we did this last week, I'm going to post the full question here, and you just have to pick an answer from the two options given. So without further ado:
Would you rather
Be the funniest person in a room?
-or-
The smartest person in a room?
Bonus if you can explain why you chose your answer!!
I'll be voting as well, but I won't vote until the last day of the poll. Come by at the end if you want to see what I chose

Dry humor can still be funny. Plus I've never been the kind of person that is the center of attention. I think if I'm decently funny while still having my brain cells intact, it's a win win for me. It doesn't mean that I'm not funny. I just wouldn't be funnier than the person next to me in the room
I have several reasons why, so please excuse my essay, XD.
Being the smartest person ever would provide me with a deep understanding of various subjects, allowing me to gain knowledge and solve complex problems. This intellectual empowerment can bring a sense of fulfillment and personal growth. With superior intelligence, I would have more opportunities for career advancement and success. My knowledge and problem-solving skills could lead to groundbreaking discoveries or advancements in my field, opening doors to prestigious positions or influential roles.
Being incredibly smart would give me the ability to make a significant positive impact on the world. I could contribute to solving global issues, pioneering scientific breakthroughs, or developing innovative solutions to societal challenges. Along with this superior intelligence, the thirst for knowledge and continuous learning would be deeply ingrained. And I love learning about stuff. Enriching my mind through constant learning and exploring new ideas becomes a lifelong adventure.
Not to mention, intelligence fosters adaptability and the ability to quickly understand and navigate complex situations or challenges. This skill is invaluable in both personal and professional settings, allowing me to tackle unexpected obstacles effectively. Being highly intelligent gives me an edge in problem-solving. I can approach difficulties with logical and analytical thinking, considering multiple perspectives and finding efficient solutions to complex issues.
And lastly, being the smartest person gives me the brain process to take a joke and maybe even come up with at least a decent joke by observing a person's humor and thinking process.
This is what I get for not reading the post fully. I didn't read the "in a room" part. XD XD XD
But eh, I won't take it back. I'd still like to fascinate people with the knowledge I do have. I love when people come to me for questions in a subject I know about. I'm already the smartest person in my friend group.

As I was reading your answer I couldn't help but think, "this isn't what the question meant LMAO--" but it's still a well thought out answer for the circumstances. Being the smartest in any space has major advantages

Yeah, don't mind me, I just got excited for no reason.
This was a hard one for me. I feel like being smart and being funny comes hand in hand, if that makes sense? Being funny comes with relatability and usually knowing what it is you’re talking about. Sometimes not knowing is funny too is the thing. It’s a very difficult question since there’s a lot that goes into comedy, but if I had to choose I’d rather make people laugh than constantly have to be someone’s Google Search Bar
That's a fair comparison lol. I do agree that it takes some form of brain cell activity to be funny, but it's not always required
Funniest because being the Funniest doesn't mean being the stupid one, also you can still be serious on some topic. And being the smartest is pretty good to be honest but it can ruin the mood in my opinion
Yeah I can get that. Some people that tend to be smarter in that regard end up being serious to the point where they can't joke around
