Hey everyone! I hope you all are enjoying yourselves out there. Today I decided to make a safe travels protection jar for my best friend! She recently got a new car so I wanted to give her something special to keep her safe where ever she goes. I’m so thankful to have her in my life, so I gotta give her some sort of protection!
🖤First, I gathered my tools. For this spell jar, I decided to use: egg shell dust, salt, cinnamon sticks, thyme, incense dust, black salt, holy water, clear quartz, black pepper corns, bay leaf, my protection sigil, a petition paper, string, and crazy glue.
🖤Next it’s time to cleanse! I used my incense stick to cleanse my tools, herbs and ingredients, and area. It’s important to cleanse so you don’t have any lingering energies that may disrupt your spell.
🖤I always fill the jar with incense smoke and cork it to let the smoke linger. I think it makes sure it’s all cleansed on the inside to give my ingredients a clean slate to give off their properties in.
🖤After, I begin to add all my ingredients. I like to start with the powders and work up to the solid and bigger items. I really like how the layering looks while I’m creating and assembling my spell. Then I drew my protection sigil on the bottle.
🖤Now it’s time to write my petition. I like to go simple and clear. “Best Friends Name is Protected” is what I went with this time. Then I rolled up the paper, glued it together, and added it to the jar last.
🖤For this particular spell, I’m not using any wax because it is going to be constantly in a car which can get really hot sometimes. Heat + wax = big mess no one wants to deal with. So I crazy glued the cork shut, tied a black string around the neck of the bottle and tied the string together. Now, it can hang perfectly in the rear view mirror!
🖤And here she is! My safe travel protection jar spell. I really hope she likes it. So very thankful to have such a great friend in my life, it was the least I can do. I also had to throw loose change in her backseat. Can’t be too careful.

Just a note, but I’m someone who likes to seal with wax. If you like to do that too, be careful of the weather if you plan to keep the jar in the car. Hot weather will cause the wax to melt, I learned that the hard way :sweat_smile:
Yep! That’s why I used crazy glue and not wax.

Always wanted to do that with the mini bottles I have but I’m always too lazy :sweat_smile: so I tend to just fill them with Magick oil mixes I create

I’ll probably do that. I’m getting more comfortable showing my path to the public as I meet others. Yesterday someone who was pagan too commented on my pentacle necklace cuz her cat apparently ate her wooden one. But if I did hang it, I’d have to take it down for my mom since while she knows and tolerates my path, I have to sneak around with Magick cuz she doesn’t allow it. And sometimes she may use my suv

I understand that! It would work if you hang it or keep it in the glove box or something. It’s the same with my mom though she doesn’t like when I call myself a witch, but asks me to read her tarot and asks why I haven’t made her a jar yet. So some says she’s okay with it and others she questions haha.
