Once you thread you needle and double knot it we can begin.
I will teach the blanket stitch in the tutorial using it

to begin we are starting with a straight stitch. you will push your needle to the back and back to the front going in one direction. before you pull the thread

this is yo secure the knot. pull the needle through the loop and then begin.

begin moving right with small up and down stitches. keep them closely spaced

when you reach the edge push the needle toward the stitches through both layers and back up. wrap the thread 3x and pull. do this 2x.

once done do one last stitch to pull the Knotts tail through the fabric

to begin the back stitch proceed with the same securing method for the straight stitch.

now we will be pushing the needle through the fabric to the left but moving toward the right.

you will start by picking the size of stitch smaller is better. and putting the front of the needle where you will begin and pushing it toward the previous stit

it will look like a pretty solid line. once done knot the stitch like in the straight stitch.

to begin a whip stitch start by poking to the back of the fabric and bring up and over the edge of fabric.

poke done into the fabric from the front side and you will create a loop.

pull tight and it will look like this. when finished knot the stitch like in the previous stitches.
