2025 Community Updates

Hello PA! I’m here to share some changes in the community. Our goal is to increase activity and give things to do to here again. We encourage everyone that loves this community to post or chat, share all your amazing pets or thoughtful experiences!

ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ NEW JUNIOR CURATOR

ㅤ

Please welcome Ky to our mod team! They have been longtime and active member of the community so many may recognize them. Currently they are in the probationary phase and then will move onto becoming an official Curator. Despite having the “Junior Curator” title, they should be respected as an official Curator. Congratulations!

Those that applied and were not picked please do not feel discouraged. When community activity picks up we will open applications again or resume our referral process.

The following will be the events running monthly in the community. Those not listed that we used to host are currently on hiatus.

➤ Community Challenges

We will host monthly challenge for to participate in. Details for the start and end date will be given in the challenge post itself. All valid entries will be featured.

➤ Question of the Month

Each month we will post a question for to comment and reply to, it’s a fun way to engage with each other and suggest other fun questions you’d like to see.

➤ Off Topic Weekend

Every other weekend will have the opportunity to share posts that are off topic. This is a great way to discuss other interests and make more friends or learn about new things!

ㅤThe following will be the committees we are going to maintain in the community. Those not listed that we used to have will be on hiatus.

➤ Newspaper Team

The paper will be posting bi-weekly. This may return to weekly in the future so interested are encouraged to apply.

➤ Welcome Committee

This group helps welcome new into our community leave friendly greetings on their wall and letting them know important links or information to get started here.

ㅤ

➤ Photography Committee

Beginner and experienced photographers can share their work and get or tips to improve themselves. If photography is a ion for you, it would be a great group to !

➤ Advice Committee

This committee mainly works out of a public chatroom where seek guidance on various pet issues. If you have experience with a certain pet I highly recommend ing so you can help others with any problems or advice they need.

➤ Birthday Squad

These make sure to wish and their pets a happy birthday. A small gesture can make really someone’s day.

ㅤ

➤ Artist Guild / Reward Squad

The public chatroom will remain active, can freely share their artwork here and the committee if they’d like. You do not have to be part of the committee to the chatroom or share art.

The reward squad will also remain active, this group helps make art or edits as rewards for any challenges and events. Interested are encouraged to apply, there is a private chatroom for this sub-committee.

➤ New Database

With all the changes to the events and committees we used to have it felt best to just create a new database to reflect all these updates. The old one has been marked “Old - PA DATABASE” and can be unpinned from your profile. Feel free to pin the new one, it will be kept up to date.

➤ Features

I just wanted to touch base that aside from making feature worthy posts there is a few other ways to be featured. If you make an entry for our monthly challenge, icebreaker challenge, or create an introduction for yourself you can be featured. If you in on Off Topic Weekends you may be featured.

Another way will be featured is when there is a birthday post or the ing of a pet. These posts do not have to follow our typical ‘feature worthy’ rules, we want to be able to have others celebrate your pets birthday or the beautiful life they lived. Simple holiday posts also will be featured on the day of said holiday. Any of these posts though must have a photo and some context.

➤ Art PSA

There will be an art PSA that will discuss appropriate proof for posts and discuss verified artist titles. This has been requested a few times and the team has decided to implement it. When the PSA is ready it will be featured and linked in the [guidelines].

➤ Guideline Review

There is a few rules that can be reviewed and adjusted, so that will be another matter the team will be working on. If there is any significant differences we will make a PSA to announce it.
