One Day

If the day come where you can no longer love me,

Deciding not to take me,

As a whole;

Take the acknowledgment with you.

For a glimpse through time I looked up to love.

Without you, I am to only look at the stars;

And wishing is all I have done.

With rose petals

I pluck away days till my heart gets broken.

It’s like drinking a cup of sweet poison,

And with this,

I’ve accepted my fate.

Is this why kisses are bittersweet?

I’d dance and spin along the edge of the earth,

Just to fall from another gust of wind.

I’d scream to be saved,

But I’ve already decided to be sacrificed.

To make who? For whom, happy?

I’ve tiptoed in the shadows of you,

And with you, the memories of all that aches

Slips away like water between the fingers.

If we were to press our hands on watered sand together,

Know,

That’s how easily you’ve left an imprint on me.

I love you; this, you know.

But love is nothing but a substitute of a feeling I can’t describe.

“Whole.”

A piece I was missing.

A forever that I wanted to be mine.

I’d go as far as to call you a flame,

But you cannot die out.

Not from me, at least.

One day,

Perhaps another life,

I can feel our love away from the shadows.
