What if Elice was in the gen 8 competitive meta [ feat . Hatenna is the best girl ]

Typing and its defensive interactions

So as you can see , its typing is'nt that helpfull defensively by racking up 4 weaknesses and 2 resistances and a stealth rock weakness . However its not that bad as it covers two of its weaknesses offensively [ by dealing super effecive damage ] and can negate stealth rocks with team of heavy-duty boots .

Base stats

Elice has a base stat total of 530 . The most notable stats in this stat spread are definitely that astronomical  speed stat and that extremely high special attack stat . As you can make out  this stat spread has much of its emphasis on improving elice's offensive prowess , however its defensive capabilities are still much to be desired with 60 defenses each and 60 hp . Regardless , in my opinion this stat spread it still a huge asset that this pokemon posses's.

Abilities

Well , to me the obvious way to go is to use elice's hidden ability queenly majesty as it basically negates what could arguebly be elice's major weakness due to her lack of decent defenses . This ability is definetly going to play a huge role in making elice's a good mon overall .

So Elice has certainly been gifted with a colourfull movepool with a golden offensive coverage from a variety of types and a neat blend of options like taunt , spikes and topsy-turvy .Well this movepool is honestly perfect and does'nt desire anything much else .

Maybe besides water spout which we all can agree is gonna be broken .

These are just on paper sets and as i mentioned before it is a thesis . Hence please do'nt expect perfection from the analysis , however i will try to keep it as accurate as possible .

Ability: Queenly Majesty

EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe

Timid Nature

IVs: 0 Atk

- Hydro Pump

- Freeze-Dry

- Volt Switch

- Psyshock

This is a choice specs wall breaker set that i would mostly recomend usage under rain or even without rain . Honestly this is my favourite set becuase it seems drawback less and due to Elice being able to maintain momentum in the pace of the game due to its access to volt switch . And as you all know rain boosted hydro pumps comming off of high special attack stats can be highly dreadfull regardless of whether you have resist . Its so dreadfull that even blissey of all things have a 26.6% chance of getting two hit KOed , The traditional calm AV slowking-galar is a guarenteed 2 hit KO under the rain , defensive toxepex have a 59% of getting two hit KOed under the rain [ not to mention that it has a water resistance ] . And freeze-dry is a decent little second STAB attack to handle pesky storm drain gastrodon and swampert [ risklessly ] . Volt switch is primarily just to maintain momentum and psyshock is for the occasional chansey that appear in Stall teams . All in all , this pokemon is just defensively uncounterable in my opinion .

Timid Nature

IVs: 0 Atk

- Volt switch / earth-power

- Freeze-Dry

- Spikes / Nasty plot

- Taunt / Sparkling aria

There are two ways you could go with this set , you could either use it as a pokemon that denies the setting of hazards with taunt and denies the removal of your hazards with the same taunt , or you could make it a late game cleaner with nasty plot and 3 other coverage moves , The reason i fit all these moves into the same set is because both the offensive and the phase both fit into the same type of build and share common weaknesses . And is a good option if your not running a rain team , or if you want your Elice to do something different . besides just dealing raw damage . The drawbacks of this set are that it leaves Elice vulnerable to opposing attacks while performing this role or while nasty plot [ which is highly risky in my opinion ].

Life orb  attacker

- Freeze-Dry

- Psyshock

- Volt Switch / Nasty plot

Now this is another offensive Elice set you would want to run if you are the sort of player who really does not want to get stuck in a choice lock no matter what  and here is an alternative set consisting of life orb which has a high damage output  without the drawback of choice lock . You have your primary STAB move which is hydro-pump , which you should probably be spamming unless the opposition has a water resist  , in which case you can simply switch up to freeze dry , which hits all water resists super effectively [ it is just a super handy in covering up the moves hydro pump can't hit for notable damage ]. Psyshock is exclusively in here for chansey and blissey  who otherwise can wall elice and take it out before its fully set up . Lastly you have an option between volt switch and nasty plot depending on how you want to play it , volt switch is always handy for maintaining momentum and nasty plot is mostly risky [ unless you predict a switch and boost up ] however the rewards are juicy and probably worth the risk . The drawbacks of this set is that it gets walled by the occasional AV magearna  , ferrothorn  ,and AV-slowking who have the bulk and typing to shrugg of her hits and knock her out in return , we could get tactical and slot in earth-power/aura-sphere to hit these pokemon but the other moves are just way too precious to give up on . Another huge problem that you would face by using this set is the lack of longetivity due to  life orb recoil damage that stacks up every turn , slowly depleting its health bar , not to mention that you take stealth rock damage due to not wearing heavy-duty boots . Few skilled opponents may even exploit this to there advantage , which is why i don't highly recomend this . Regardless , it still does'nt take off the fact that Elice's terrifying potential after a possible nasty plot set up and its natural damage out put , with the luxury of changing up moves .

My opinions on this pokemon

In my opinion this is an excellent and possibly even broken pokeon [ especially due to tht drawbackless choice specs set ]. Its one main issue in priority had been completely negated by its ability , and considering  its excellent speed tier , we can say that its extremely hard to revenge kill without a scarfer . This mon is probably gonna be a rain staple who inflicts dizzing levels of damage by ploughing through opposition with those specs rain boosted hydro-pumps . And the other options are'nt that bad as well especially for the ones who want to use it outside of rain .Overall , this thing probably gonna be a top tier OU or even an Uber due to its fantastic speed tier , dizzing offensive potential , difficulty to revenge kill and its colourfull movepool that provides it with everything it needs .
