So a couple of you have probably already seen theories like this flying around since the release of the new panic at the disco song earlier today. But I wanted to throw my two cents into the ring before this theory goes too mainstream and gets proven or disproven officially.
So basically the idea is: that this new video Say Amen is the prequel to This Is Gospel. This is implied at the end of the video when you can hear the sound of a heart beating, The same heartbeat that introduces This Is Gospel. But what’s more interesting than that is that this implies that it is also a continuation of the story from emperors new clothes which is the confirmed sequel to this is gospel. So Say Amen tells the story of Brendon stealing the devils key, killing to protect it, getting killed himself and dying in the hospital, and then going to Hell presumably to use the key to either tripped the trap door or to open the gate that is seen opening at the end of the video presumably releasing the devil. I think in general this theory is also ed by the fact that both Say Amen and This is Gospel have clear religious influences in imagery and their titles which could imply the connection even more deeply.
I really like the way that they’ve potentially melded all three of these music videos together into one story that hopefully isn’t done yet but is compelling nonetheless. I’m sure I’m not the first person to make these connections but I thought it would be interesting to see what other people thought about these three videos being part of the same story and what people thought could be next in the story or if the story is over now that the beginning has been told.

My thought is that he will meet the girl that stole the key in posibly a fimal battle a battle of betrayal
Just for a little more evidence Brendon is also wearing the same shirt at the end of say amen that we see at the begining of this is gospel
And I noticed he’s wearing the same converse that he’s wearing in Gospel while he’s being buried in the coffin
I screamed and my eyes even watered a bit, but yeah I do think this theory could very much be true. I believe it. I love story telling in music so I adore this concept
I actually screamed when I saw the music video. My parents were pissed but I was waaay too exited about it
It was so good! The fights were honestly hilarious but so well choreographed
