Is it wrong to have an opinion?!

I hate it when people get mad at me for having a different view point then them. Like earlier when someone in my family said something about my country being number 1 but I said it wasn't because some data I saw about other countries compared to mine. So they got mad at me so I decided to make it sound like I was joking. It's just irritating that I'm not allowed to have my own opinion about my own country. I agree that there are some good things about but after you look past those things, there are so many things that we are doing wrong in my opinion. They even said that I should apologize to my country for saying something bad about it. Don't get me wrong I love my country but sometimes I wish I didn't live in it. I apologise for this random blog and if it doesn't make sense at all.
