*warning: suicide, toxic person?, Homophobic Might have some more*
So my best friend ed away from suicide and it's been a year and I've grown around my grief qnd I still love and miss him but recently this girl who's best friends with my friend we will call clementine and her friend devil so devil I guess said around the time he ed away to her bf now ex-bf and told him that ethier me or her (as in clementine) or both of us didn't even know him or talked to him often when she has no fucking idea that he was my best friend thought middle school, we did everything we could together I couldent tell my parents about him because there homophobic and transphobic and he was trans so I was scared they would be mean or tell me I can't be friends, but me and him would hang out at lunch, every ing time every class we had together and I couldent talk in the summer expecially sence he couldent communicate.sence he didn't have a phone. It makes me so mad she said that about him the only reason she didn't see us together probably was BECAUSE I would talk to her over him sence I sat closer to her compared to him and she didn't see me in the hallways probably because she too busy sucking up to these toxic popular girls, but that's in the past so I don't care, but if she was saying Clementine didn't even know him is a lie, Clementine only knew him for a year because she transfered that year and she had more then one class with my friend who ed away. The reason why I'm making this poll is to ask if I should stay quiet sence it's old drama or something she said awhile ago. If I should confront her about it (txt or in person) so I can figure it out. Or if I should tell Clementine and warn her and ask her what to do. I wish I didn't have this problem my parents didn't think I knew him very well ethier but that's because I never mentioned him to them (due to being scared they say mean thing and force me to not be his friend) I told my mom this and my mom felt horrible for assuming that (I didn't tell him he was trans but I told her that I didn't mention him because he was a male and I did just didn't mention his name so she didn't tell at me for being friends with a male) in the end though I'm telling my therapist this also another option wait untill your therapist suggests what to do

Don't play the blame game.
Depending on how close you are with Clementine and Devil I would ask for a talk under 4-8 eyes with them and tell them:
" I have heared people here are spreading rumours about me/you/us not being close with Angel and I personally Don't like it, because He has been my best friend since middle school."
Try to be as factual as possible and not run into them like an elephant in the store that has got Poked by a wasp.
Also in case it way really ond or both of them if they're mature enough already they might say sth along the lines of "Woopsies, I didn't know that..." if you're not sure just make your point clear at the end of the day you and you and Angel know how close you really were.
