The name Diego means "He that gives" In Latin, and the last name Cruz means "Cross" In Iberian, later ed down to Portuguese and Spanish cultures.

Diego used to be called Sarcastic Man when he was younger for his uncanny ability to be naturally sarcastic. He's also been called Galactus and Tui. They called him Galactus because he was relatively fat as a younger kid, and even he doesn't know what the hell Tui is supposed to mean.

-Diego is one of the most loyal people you'll ever meet, sticking by his friends even if they betray him or dislike him publicly. Because of this extreme sense of loyalty, Diego tends to be blind to being hurt by others.

-He's highly energetic, and knows how to lighten up a situation.

-Diego has an acute sense of which people to avoid and which to pay attention to. This way, the people he's close are really close with him, and those he's relatively distant with are really distant.

-Diego is a very hardworking person, going to extreme lengths to accomplish what he wants.

Diego has sometimes been considered bipolar, mostly because he can switch from one mood to another at a drastic level. Usually though, he's in a pretty chill mood, one that he doesn't appreciate being interrupted in.

He's usually at ease when he's reading a book, or when he's having a deep conversation with someone. His most chill states though are when he's writing, in which he'll get sucked into a totally different world and space out completely.

Diego can get ticked off easily, mostly because his childhood was filled with bitter and furious people. Though he swore to never become like them, he can sometimes be a really angry person. If pulled out of a deep writing session before he's done he can lash out, or if he's talking with others and is interrupted, this can result in quite the yelling match.

Diego is known to be quite the anxious person. He's especially anxious, oddly enough, when he's talking to close friends of his, or when he's arguing at a deep level with someone.

Usually after a bad fight with someone, as he tends to have the notion that they aren't his friend anymore. He's very anxious in that way, and can have long phases of time where he just sits alone to think and cry.

Diego is strongest as a leader, and leading groups of people in the right direction for a specific project. Back in the UNSC, he was a little irritated when Isaiah was picked team leader instead of him. Diego's also really good at making friends and allies, to the point where he doesn't have many enemies. He's a talented writer and reader, as well as an exceptional artist. Some say he has an above average singing voice, but he doesn't believe it himself. He's also got an abnormally high pain tolerance, to the point where it's a little freaky. Diego also seems to be extremely resilient to blows, and has high stamina levels.

As for weaknesses, Diego has a variety. Loud noises rattle him a lot, especially high pitched noises. Even though Diego's more fit and bigger than most, he's easily intimidated by people weaker and smaller than him. Whilst being extremely talented in combat, Diego sometimes tends to falter under pressure, even though he may easily be able to overpower . He often struggles with emotional turmoil, being an highly anxious person. This commonly leads Diego to having a fake sense towards who are and aren't real friends. He's also very easily stamped on by others, commonly seen sacrificing his own opinions and likings to please others.

Diego's sense of humor is highly acute, and he desperately strives to be a funny, lovable person. He also knows when it's time to laugh, and when it's time to smile. This leads to sometimes losing the sense to real humor, and forcing himself to say things for a quick laugh.

Diego originally aspired to be an author, for a long time writing and publishing various drafts. Sadly though, Diego was once again pulled out of his own dream in order to follow suit with the rest of his friends, who were all enlisting in the UNSC. Eventually though, Diego wants to finally retire and work as an author on his own.

Diego's motivations are sometimes very clear, but other times are hard to tell apart. It's clear that one of its motivations is his friends, keeping them safe and spending time with them. Other than that, he has no reason other than loyalty than to really stick with them.

Diego has arachnophobia, meaning he has a detrimental fear towards spiders. Other than that, Diego fears being lonely, and specifically being an angry person. Many people in his youth were angry, bitter people, which leads some to wonder how Diego ended up being relatively cheery. He fears never being enough, and not being able to please the people that care and depend on him.

Art, specifically drawing. He enjoys writing a lot, and can commonly be seen writing in a lone room. Other interests of his include reading, talking, playing basketball and making friends.

He dislikes annoying people, specifically people who follow rules too extremely. He hates broccoli and spiders with all his heart, and cauliflower is also something he dislikes. He took a few years of piano lessons as boy, and later swapped over to drums. He's talented in both, but some would say he has more potential in piano.

Diego's best memories stem from his days in High School, which were wild years in Diego's life.

Diego's worst memories probably come from his many, many continuous fights with his mother. Constant screaming matches that he never really got over as he grew alongside her in his youth.

【 H I S T O R Y   A S   A C H I L D 】

As a child, Diego lived a very turbulent and chaotic life. His parents divorced when he was young, and he experienced much loss early on life. Although, Diego always remained strong through all thes occurrences, and more or less had a way of ignoring the pain and shedding it aside. It didn't always work, of course, and he suffered from depression early on.

The older he got, the more of a slight loner he became. Time went on and on, and some people abandoned him. Nathan, Isaiah and Terrence were the only ones who really stuck with him and were there for him. Diego figures he's in debt of them because of their unconditional kindness, and ended up sacrificing his dream of becoming a writer as a show of loyalty towards them. It mostly went unnoticed, though.

In the years leading up to his enlistment, they were the craziest of his life. Filled with many stressful phases he was pushed though. Although, they were definite party years, in which Diego for the most part got over his issues.

Diego always saw his friends as these amazing people who weren't flawed, which was why he was always ive of them when they were stuck in difficult predicaments. For a long time, Diego was the go-to man to ask to lie for them. But when Nathan abandoned his mother and brother to make his bachelor's and Levi came asking him the location of his brother, he was so shocked he gave up the information. Ever since then, their's been a barely noticeable rift between Nathan and Diego that's never fully healed.

Diego eventually enlisted in the UNSC along with his companions, quickly ri the ranks as a Spartan. Fireteam Eclispe was forged, with Isaiah leading the team into nine successful years of combat against the Covenant. However, after a fiasco between the Master Chief and the team that involved a physical battle between many Spartans, the team was nearly suspended. Fireteam Eclipse had a reputation for being highly efficient and deadly in their missions, but they were also famous for rogue behavior and going MIA for long periods of time. Eclipse was highly prestigious nonetheless, and Isaiah was an acclaimed leader.

Contradictions with the higher ups of ONI and the UNSC continued throughout the extensive time the team was there, and it eventually reached a boiling point. When Nathan was recruited into Project Freelancer, Diego along with his friends went against direct orders to try a and find him. This resulted in a discharge and a possible jail sentence after a long build up of rogue behavior over the years. However, they could be saved of a sentance if Nathan testified against them having ever gone to find him. He didn't lie, however, and three years of encarcelation were given to them. This drew a deep wedge between Nathan and Isaiah, as well as Terrence and Diego.

【 H I S T O R Y   A S   A N A D U L T 】

As an adult, Diego was released along with his team from jail. Their first objective was to rescue old friends of theirs in Peter and Quill, who'd been captured by Felix and Locus on Chorus. Their ship, the Darkhawk, was attacked by one of Jul M'dama and his fleet of Covenant ships and damaged extensively. This resulted in a crash landing on Sidewynder, where they were reunited with Nathan and met Ava and Otiz. After a long argument, Ava agreed to help them in exchange for their freedom, as both her and Nathan were too injured to fight them. Soon enough, they were en route to Chorus.

They spent weeks on Chorus, bonding and making their way through the lush jungles and canyons of the beautiful planet. Diego's confidence in Nathan was somewhat fixed in this period, but him and Nathan didn't really speak enough to prove it. Eventually, they made it to the containment facility owned by the Federal Army of Chorus, and aided by Charon Industries.

After an extensive break in, they'd managed to rescue Peter and Quill, escaping quickly. They were eventually cornered by Felix and Locus who had a long battle with the team. Diego was injured extensively in this battle, suffering knee damage along with back soreness, not to mention falling in a coma for a month. This battle nearly resulted in the death of all of them, had it not been for Kimball and the Rebels showing up to save them. The distraction worked, and they managed to escape.

After this, Nathan and Ava stayed on Chorus and began their own family. For three years, Diego and his team went on their own missions, helping and doing good while simultaneously dealing and silencing demons of their past. Curiously though, they went missing for about a year, Diego along with them. Kimball notified Nathan and Ava, who went on a long mission to find them. No one knows or talks about what happened between this period, but they were soon found.

Currently, Diego and the others go on their own missions, considering themselves their own family. They do what they want, when they want to. No longer forced under any boundaries, it's supposedly said they're gonna take a break from their duties. Maybe even permanently.
