Shygirl has shell rot on her shell. The vet did give us something to help with that when she went for her very first check up but she would also jump into the water when the medicine was applied to her shell. I look on her shell and I don't like seeing it there. Any home remedies to get rid of it?

its the dark green spot on her shell (bottom right of the shell)

Buy her a platform where she can sumerge from the water and dry off also its good to take them out into the sun every so often and let them run around in a semi dry place. My baby Marco had this sort of thing happen but quickly stop by cleaning his home more and going out more.

Maybe just find a dry place to put her for a bit along with scrubbing her shell with a gentle toothbrush

I have done that before and only a grey substance came off her shell. Not the shell rot
