Button’s first steps into his new home!

Button is my brand new russian tortoise! He was rehomed to me by someone in Nevada that could not care for him properly. He wasn’t in the best of conditions and only ate romaine lettuce for 5 years, so I does have a few problems for me to work with, but I’m sure he’ll be thriving in no time.

I do not know his age because he was a wild caught adult when bought, but I estimate him to be at least 10 years old.

He’s going from a 40 gallon guinea pig cage to a 28 square foot kiddy pool and 8x8 outdoor enclosure.

Not a compact UVB, just two heat lamps

I can’t wait to watch his personality come out!
