KINGDOM SCROLLS || Vanus & Mannimarco

Today is something very very different. IT'S A CROSS OVER POST!!! With what? With The Elder Scrolls of course. I've talked about how much I love The Elder Scrolls franchise. Aside from Kingdom Hearts, it's my favourite thing EVER. I have hours and hours... and hours across multiple TES games. ESO with around 2.5k, Skyrim has to have at least 1k across PS3, PS4, and PS5, Oblivion is getting up there with it's recent remaster.

I've had this idea in my head now for months, but lacked the push I needed to finally go through with it. That was, until the start of April. You see, my most favourite Elder Scrolls character ever is Vanus Galerion and back at the start of April, a prologue quest was released. This years story is the conclusion of ESOs main quest line. Vanus Galerion SHOULD have had a spotlight in the trailer for this quest. But no, the trailer was AWFUL. With terrible dialogue from an annoying npc, and most importantly... no Vanus mention or appearance. BS. Guys.. I CRASHED OUT on my Insta close friends story like you would have thought it was the end of the world. [IT WAS. I waited SIX. YEARS.]

After my crash out I took a deep breath and decided to feed myself. If you want something done right then you gotta do it yourself, right? So in my mind, obviously that meant dressing my favourite toxic couple up as my other favourite toxic couple!!! :tada: :tada: :tada: :tada:

Vanus Galerion and Mannimarco as Master Eraqus and Master Xehanort

Oh, Amino is going to kill the quality on this one. I can just tell...

Vanus Galerion // Master Eraqus [Left]

Starting off with my favourite. Vanus Galerion. Vanus is the founder of Tamriel's Mage's Guild; an organization that's focused on making knowledge on magic across all of Tamriel. Vanus is a very arrogant and vain man, but he has a heart of gold. His very strong moral com and STRONG views towards Necromancy and the dark arts made the choice to make him Eraqus simply obvious.

Both Eraqus and Vanus are incredibly closed minded — both valid and for good reason. Both did their best to stop the darkness of their respective worlds. Although, in all honesty. Vanus Galerion is what Eraqus COULD HAVE been. Vanus was fierce, violent, angry, and very head on when it came to his hatred of Mannimarco, Necromancy, and Mannimarco's Worm Cult.

I think that these two would get along really well, despite Vanus' snark, arrogance, and other unsavoury personality traits. [He's a high elf, bear with him.] Eraqus would be bullied heavily for his inability to see Xehanort for what he is..

They both bond over the fact their boyfriends [SIGH] become evil, they also both have students/kids they try [and fail to] protect [Vanus' only kid is my oc & He's adopted but he's literally canon and real in my head so...]

Vanus looks really short in this piece but he's actually 6'5 :sob: Mannimarco is just that tall. Also drawing his nose was SO PAIN.

Master's Defender was made easy asf to draw because I found this 3d model site that let me rotate it anyway I wanted... it CLUTCHED UP for the perspective of the Gazing Eye, too.

Mannimarco // Master Xehanort [Right]

Now onto Mannimarco. He is the leader of an evil necromancer cult and ever since he was young, he had this weird fascination with death, raising the dead, ect ect. He and Vanus were both students of the Psijic Order, and Mannimarco showed Vanus his "experiments" on raising the dead. Mannimarco does what he does for power, he just wanted to achieve Godhood through Necromancy.

I chose to make Manni Xehanort because the parallels between Vanus/Mannimarco & Eraqus/Xehanort were just too good. Xehanort was driven by a desire to see the world remade, but in the end he was also incredibly power hungry and corrupt. There's just that very small difference between him and Mannimarco. I don't think Xeha would really get along with Mani, and Mani would absolutely try and manipulate Xehanort. They'd just be at eachother's throats all the time.

I kept Mannimarco's crown because he CANNOT be seen without it. It's too iconic...

I definitely spent the most time on the details of Xehanort's outfit, I dunno. I really locked in on this piece I think.
