“We depended too much on the moon king. He never failed before so why would he this time; that is what we thought. We never considered him as anything but perfect and basked in the comfort he provided. But no one is perfect. Not one thing and we never considered that. Maybe if we had then things could have been different, and we could have succeeded in saving him. No, maybe we would have tried to even because we couldn’t even do /that/. Perhaps, he could have been here standing next to us instead of trapped in the ice that became his eternal imprisonment.”

“Mino.”

“No! No, instead we did what we always did. Sat back and watched as he did all the work. As he pushed himself far longer than he ever had to. We didn’t hesitate leaving everything for him to handle. We knew our king was too aggressive. We knew our king was too violent. We knew our king was dumb and impulsive. We knew that the sun was not fit to be the king. Why else would we look at the moon as the true king?! We knew all of this and yet we did nothing. Absolutely nothing while the moon su–”

“Mino, enough.”

“It is not enough! The moon carried everything on his back for us! He placed the burden meant for hundreds on his single shoulders and then some! He was everyones’ hope. We knew that. We knew that and still did nothing!”

“We cannot change the past nor can we bring him back. Having a sun’s rage serves no one now.”

“I want– I want to apologize to him.”

“I really, really, really need to say sorry to him.”

“Then we will find him and apologize for our sins. We will tell him never again will we leave him to shoulder the burdens of an entire race on his own shoulders. We will stand next to him with our head held high and not cower in the shadow behind him. We will make him our real king no matter the cost for we know what we need, not our creators.”

Xu Kai, more recently known for acting in the chinese drama “Falling Into Your Smile”, fits Belkis pretty soundly. While I have not yet seen the other dramas this actor has taken part in, specifically the way he speaks and sounds within the drama mentioned above is how I have always sort of pictured Belkis. The only difference I would note is that Belkis tends to have a slightly deeper tone.

The concept of Belkis was one that I came up with without any direct idea about where the inspiration came from. Originally designed hand in hand with the species he hails, there wasn’t actually an exact outline of who he was until I made up some of his powers on the fly during a campaign session. After that I went back to the drawing board and due to my attachment to eldritch horror Belkis evolved to have clear inspiration from this genre in a fashion one might not expect. It wasn’t till much much later where I came to realize I never decided his true form, so much so the old form of his species marked him as a normal human. During my dive into yokai I discovered the gyokuto and quickly felt an attachment to it, molding Belkis into what he is today: a mashup of horror, aliens, moon rabbit yokai, and the epitome of not what they seem.

This character is one of many here which connect to my Balancer Works Universe. Due to the importance of Belkis within this universe and the uniqueness of him he is by far the most detailed OC ever. I’m sorry for anyone who reads him, if anyone does. I tried to cut what I could but most needs to be there for explanation purposes. Beneath is a critical piece of lore to help understand the wiki, please be sure to read it before continuing.

Throughout the entire document from this point forward there will be mentions of both Humanity (humans) and Hoimanity (hoimans). Humanity, within the universe Belkis is from, are known as the original species of a series of powerful aliens known as Balancers. Hoimanity on the other hand is what is labeled as simple people from earth. To put it in other , hoimanity and hoimans are residents of earth and in turn are exactly like you, the reader. Humanity are god-like aliens which are responsible for ensuring peace and balance throughout the entire universe with the help of the other Balancers (like Belkis).

— Belkis in the English language carries its ties back to arabic origin. Proposed as a more female name, it simply means “princess” or “queen”. While this name does have an English meaning it was not picked or chosen due to it. Instead it carries vastly different purposes in his native language, Zivnxal. Translating from Zivnxal the meaning of the name is “he who comes of the shadows” or “of the shadows” and is of a male lean due to him being the only one to use it. This name was granted in order to reflect both the way Belkis was born and the purpose of his existence. Born during the night, under the shadow of the moon, he was a being which essentially came from the shadows. Taking the whispers of the dead Belkis’ creators gave him the name befitting that birth.

— The Moon King

Being born under the light of the moon and existing side by side with their bright King, it did not take long for the others of Belkis’ species to grant him his first nickname. One unbefitting of his intended purpose. While he was defined as a measly guard to the King no one, not even the King, Solarius, saw him as such. Rather it was quite the opposite. They looked towards the being born from the moon like a second ruler simply because where Solarius lacked Belkis did not. They were two sides of the same coin. Where Solarius was a ionately assertive person much like the sun, Belkis was a calm tranquility like the moon. Thus when Solarius gained the name The Sun King from the people, Belkis in turn gained The Moon King title. It’s meaning is obvious. To his species he was a king. It did not matter the creators said that was not the case. Some would come to argue that Belkis was more of a king than Solarius ever was because he was chosen by the people not by their creators. Few then would say that made him the ‘true’ king. That number is much higher now.

Belkis carries this name with a badge of honor. To him having been given this title by the rest of his race is a sign that through all the hardship what he was doing was right. It is not the fact he is referred to as a king which pleases him. Rather, this name puts him as an equal to Solarius. It reminds him of his importance and serves as proof that he was a good leader. Most importantly despite current times granting him a frightening appearance this name grants insight to just the type of person he is capable of being.

— Ziusis

At the words of The Sun King, Belkis was swiftly blamed as the one who caused the great ‘catastrophe’. However, no one truly believed that he was the one who did it. No one at the time argued with their king and instead took to other means to prove where their beliefs lay. Granting Belkis the alias Ziusis was one such means. Roughly translating from Zivnxal to English, the name is believed to mean “the scapegoat”, and was often used in private conversation about or around Belkis to subtly talk about him without breaking any laws. By definition scapegoat means, “a person or group made to bear the blame for others or to suffer in their place.” ( credit dictionary.com ). As for the reason it was obvious: the true cause of the tragedy was believed to be the very person who pushed the blame onto Belkis and as such that made the alien the scapegoat for the entire situation. Irony would have that the very thing Belkis was blamed for was the very thing he was suffering from the most.

Even with its intended usage to be a means of comfort towards Belkis he despises the name. To a degree that whenever the name was used there would be zero acknowledgement, not even a correction. It was a stain in his eyes. A stain to all the hard work and accomplishments that served his legacy before. Being called a Ziusis sure meant that people noticed he wasn’t the one at fault but what point was that if everything else he did was lost along the way? Belkis was known as a powerful being with a solid legacy but the nickname served to place him as a simple scapegoat for a ruler. He hated it. Thankfully, the usage of the name quickly died down. Nowadays it is not used.

— Demon Queen’s Knight

Once Belkis settled back into existence his identity of the past was quickly lost and a new one emerged. Residing within, and helping to lead and protect, the new found underground city the ‘criminals’ which called it their home developed two contrasting images on Belkis. One, an enforced of the code which all residents had to go by. Two, the protector to keep all residents safe from harm. These two conflicting views paired with the woman in charge, Camella Destiny’s, status of a ‘Demon Queen’ swiftly lead to him gaining the nickname Demon Queen’s Knight. A knight, while they do uphold a code, also lives to guard the area which they reside in. It was a fitting name. Since he stood beside the infamous Demon Queen it made all the more sense. This name is now only spoken of as a legend or story of the past due to Belkis and Camilla no longer having any association with the underground city.

Given his previous official status as a ‘guard’ or ‘knight’ Belkis was moderately fond of this alias. It was by no means the satisfaction he felt when being called The Moon King but it was enough to help him remove the stains of the past from his mind. Never once did he ever tell people to call him that nor introduced himself like that but if used he would respond to it.

Coming to the final alias Belkis has been given, it also serves to disclose his status in the Lorean, the City of Heroes. Having moved from the underground network Belkis and Camella together establish an organization by the name of the Superhero Equality Agency, or SEA for short. While she became the leader, and thus Commander of the superhero police force, Belkis just as quickly became the Vice Commander. He was the one she trusted the most and carried more power than anyone else in the group. It only made logical sense the title went to him in the end. Following in line with military-like settings anyone below this rank, which is essentially everyone, or those who have not been given permission otherwise only refer to Belkis by this name.

Regardless of it being an official title and status, Belkis does not favor this alias. He deals with it simply because he has to and whenever possible would much rather be called any other name. The only times Belkis will ever even introduce himself as such is when presenting in an official capacity or conducting a task for SEA itself.

— Male, Male, He/Him/His

Given the trend of many within his half of the species not having a sex at birth it is almost a surprise that Belkis did have one. Being born male Belkis was still no stranger to being referred only by his name or with gender neutral because that was simply how most of his species worked. However, as time continued on Belkis truly felt perfectly content and satisfied with his gender. Thus Belkis identifies with the male gender and prefers the use of He/Him/His pronouns. That being said, he isn’t the type to get mad at someone for getting it wrong simply because of the way his species works.

— 28 (Indeterminate)

To the eyes of anyone at a surface level Belkis can appear to be roughly twenty-eight years of age. For a time as well this was the documented age jotted down to avoid any confusion about the topic, however, that number is quite far from the truth. In all reality while Belkis appears to be in his late twenties there is no documented number for his age. Officially listed as ‘Indeterminate’, Belkis was born at a time where the concept of age wasn’t fully understood by the parents of his species and thus birthdays, age, and time in general was never tracked.

Calculating mental age is a tricky one when taking into the fact that Belkis is not a normal person. As such these numbers were concluded after considering his ability to display traits matching a certain age group of people. The safest estimates would attribute him to the mindset of a thirty to forty year old person .

— Unknown (March 26th)

Much like what was stated within his physical age section, since time was not present within the beginning of Belkis’ existence so too was the normal calendar not present. It also has never been incorporated into his species so by all technicalities he does not have an official date of birth. This leaves the formal answer as ‘unknown’. However, given the need to have a birthday listed in most official paperwork on Earth an arbitrary date was decided for the sake of simplicity. March 26th is the said date. It was decided by Belkis as that was the date on the hoiman calendar when he was brought back into the world. Close enough to a birthday in his eyes (based on what he knows). There is no celebration, however. Conveniently enough March 26th was also a day where there was a full moon.

— Yenzil (Key-em-seal)

It is of no surprise that Belkis, one of the original two of his species, was born in the location which is now identified as Yenzil, the capital city of his home planet. Due to the nature of how the home planet is spelt it cannot be directly written in the English language. The city itself is presently not one which has the ability to be cleanly observed as it is on what can be described as a ‘ghost planet’. The only visible structure to the naked eye is a single spire that seems as if it can touch the moon. It is inherently a mystery and is treated as such. For Belkis himself, despite how an entire capital city was founded by his birth he does not consider his birthplace as anything important. Given the age of fate the male does not even much about the location itself. As a result he will not talk about the city.

— Lorean, the City of Heroes

Presently Belkis resides within the city of superheroes. Lorean, much like the city is named, is the center for all things superhero but also all things alien in nature. It accepts all species. Thus is the perfect location for the likes of him to fit in. The city itself is much as to be expected from a metropolis city minus the fact its base operation was also to be a sea port protected by mountains on all three sides. There is no city within a good distance on all sides of Lorean and even if there were the mountains still exist to separate them making Lorean seem like it’s own ruling country rather than a city within a larger country. Residing within the city for multiple years now it is only recently that his location can be stated publicly as before he was often found in the darker parts of the city known as the underground city.

— Zivnx

Within the System, or all-encoming universe, there lives eight species of aliens which stand at the pinnacle of strength, power, success, and responsibility. Called Balancers, each one is tasked with the simple job of watching over two aspects and ensuring balance remains between the two or else the System risks collapsing. The Zivnx, Belkis’s species, are the second of these eight and play the all important task of balancing the presence and absence of everything within the System. They are regarded as the strongest since the departure of the first species.

Zivnx as a species are rather simple but complicated at the same time due to their trials and tribulations. At a base there are two halves to the species and each half are easily attributed to the modern day mythology they inspired. The first half, which Belkis is not, are known as Ghost Walkers and are the reasons stories about ghosts and spirits exist. They are essentially that, spirits which cannot be touched, seen, spoken to, or interacted with but contain extreme amounts of powers. Not ghosts, spirits. They are merely called Ghost Walkers as that is what they walk amongst. Possessing only one form every single one has an anthropomorphic animal appearance. Unlike their bodies, their minds are very much intact within the System presenting their entire being as one which is physically absent but mentally present.

The second half which Belkis /is/ a part of are known as Physical Walkers. Yokai exist in legends thanks to them. They, unlike their other counterparts, are physically able to be seen, spoken to, and interacted with and oftentimes have multiple forms ranging from a human-like appearance all the way down to a beast or object like one. Just as capable as their counterparts their power is rarely matched unless by the other species of Balancers. However, while they may be able to be physically present their mind, due to events discussed further in the wiki, are not. Physically present in the System leaves them mentally absent from it.

— Chinese/European & Not Applicable

Being an alien means that while his human-look appearance can have a specific ethnicity he does not possess a nationality. Showing as a mixed ethnic person Belkis carries traits of both Chinese descendants and Europeans, specifically the Mediterranean countries within Europe. His facial structure matches that to Chinese heritage while his skin tone and overall body structure is closer akin to those european mediterranean countries. It is important to note though that again he formally does not hold these ethnicity and instead just simply appears as such in his human form due to the ability to blend in with societies being important for races such as the Zivnx.

— English, Zivnxal, Chinese, Latin, Various Alien Languages

Language is a critical part of being able to complete the tasks laid out before him in his life. As such over the course of his life Belkis has picked up numerous languages. Starting out with just two: English and Zivnxal, those two can be seen as his core languages. Fluent in both these languages they are the ones the male will most frequently communicate in. The reason for this is simple: Humanity used English, and Zivnxal is the language of the dead. As time went on his pool eventually grew. Following his adventuring out of his home world copious amounts of alien languages fell in suit. He picked them all up while visiting and talking with those throughout the System. Many of them he can only understand and vaguely speak since most can understand English as it was the language of Humanity (the first species of Balancers). Latin was the next language to come, and is the only language he is only able to read and write in. He is unable to speak the language as everything he learned about this language came from written documents and pages rather than word of mouth. This is mostly in part due to it being a dying language and thus never formally having a teacher. Finally, Chinese is the latest addition to his collection and the only one he can speak, read, and write in. This language came for two reasons: one, it is a popular trade language and trading was a part of his life, and two, his appearance made many make the improper assumption he was Chinese and thus tried talking to him in this language. Figuring it was of use to know the language he swiftly learned it. Writing is his weakest link since learning kanji takes time. Presently uses the first three languages listed the most.

— Asexual

Belkis, while never formally deciding a personal orientation with sexual (or romantic) attraction, would still fall under the category of asexual. It’s definition meaning is as followed, “experiencing little or no sexual attraction to other people”, (credit: dictionary.com) however, there is often a lot more meaning into exactly what asexuality is and this definition does not do that justice. Given the circumstances, however, it helps fit the occasion. For Belkis he simply never has and never will feel that sort of attraction given everything that has happened to him and just what he is as an alien. It isn’t something that is important to his species nor his own mental wellbeing and way of life. Simple enough.

— Greyromantic

As stated above Belkis has not disclosed nor thinks about such orientations but at the same time it is easy to state that he is Greyromantic. Being on the aromantic spectrum this orientation means that a person will feel very little, seldom, to no romantic attraction. Most often used with individuals who are not fully sure it is safe to state that greyromantic is one where a person at least knows they feel romantic attraction; it is just so infrequent that it is hard to pin down to one specific label. For Belkis, while he has not felt any sort of feelings towards someone it is not out of the question for him to feel attracted to someone. He simply has not found anyone of interest yet. It is a mystery much like many inner parts of him because it wasn’t an important part of his life. It didn’t matter and now that it does he is lost.

— Single

Rounding off after his orientations Belkis is and has always been single. Relationships just aren’t something that is important to the alien and with so much to do he would not have the proper time to give the effort needed in such a situation. That alone is enough to turn him away from one. Belkis does not mind, nor care about being single. Presently many people within Lorean question this due to his work relationship with his partner but the truth of the matter is they are not seeing each other and given the way they work they never will.

— Intimidating, Villainous, Determined

The very first thought the majority of creatures have when looking at Belkis regardless of his form is that of a textbook criminal: cruel, intimidating, and focused. Starting from his posture there is very little room for discussion with him it seems. Within his human-like form his eyes always downcasted in a sort of stone cold expression or glare, furrowed brows constantly present on his face. Adding into that the aura he presents is equally as intimidating. Instincts of all types of creatures can easily sense the amount of power and danger that lives within his body. He could kill someone swiftly and it shows within the first couple of seconds of meeting him. Even for those who are exactly what he appears to be, criminals, he is intimidating and hard to approach. He is an imposing darkness that no one can get through. Coming off of that concept it is easy to see why he also appears villainous. Regardless of the clothing he wears or how he introduces himself he simply seems like a villain. Cold, calculating, and inherently hard to read emotionally. Unlike the last notion (intimidating) further listening to him, watching him, and simply being around him will push off this impression into a more accurate representation of him but given how hard he is to get near it’s hard for people to get past the original point.

Finally, matching up with those two Belkis is identifiable with the notion of a determined and focused individual. His eyes always seem sharply honed in on whatever is going on in front of him, even should his body seem to relax in some way or form. Beyond just the look in his eyes he always seems to move or act with a sense of purpose or drive. Combined with the other two it makes sense he appears determined. Thankfully this first impression is accurate to who he is as a person (even if it comes from a not accurate place). Ultimately much of what he appears to be isn’t fully connected to how he is but at the same time it is some part the way he chooses to show himself. It’s not that he couldn’t change the way people think of him. He could. He does not see the use in it when his entire present focus is to keep his co-worker safe.

— 5’11 (180cm) & 163lbs (74kg)

Coming in at 5’11 Belkis is above average height for a hoiman male and is average weight for the height category he is in. Belkis is content with both, which is lucky given that unlike most people his species does not naturally gain or lose weight given the lack of need for food.

— Mesomorphic

By definition this body type means, “a human somatotype (physical type) that is marked by greater than average muscular development” (credit: britannica.com). This means that Belkis is able to gain muscle easily but also is able to gain fat. Thankfully this applies to losing fat or muscle as well. An average of the two, this body type is normally one that gets a net zero in of losing or gaining.

— Almond (Fitzpatrick Scale’s type IV)

Due to Belkis appearing to have heritage from the Mediterranean his skin appears to be slightly tanned, appearing as an almond skin tone. He does not burn and there is only ever a very small tan which may show on his body. Scars show easily on his skin, however, he is unable to get them in most cases.

— Diamond

For the most part Belkis’ face shape is very proportionate with a good size nose, eyes and well placed ears. Rounding it off is the diamond shaped face which the alien possesses. Narrow chin and cheeks he looks quite nice to the eyes despite the overwhelmingly dangerous appearance. The most notable feature on his face is the furrowed eyebrows that just seem to naturally be there (even though they are not). Besides that everything about the alien is rather standard in of appearance despite the later notes to be discussed below.

— Eldritch Green

Green eyes are not an uncommon color for hoiman eyes, however, the green which Belkis has is. In most cases where greens appear more like a deeper grass green or brownish green his eyes are unmistakably greenish black. Coined an Eldritch green, this color is mostly attributed to the cosmic horror genre, for example creatures of Lovecraftian lore like Cthulhu. From a distance there is a small chance to mistake this color as a deep forest or pine green but once one gets closer they seem slightly off, as if they are just a tad bit too dark for the color to be natural. That being said, the rounded pupil is also difficult to make out. Within darkness Belkis’ eyes seem pure black. Unlike most pupils this does not change size due to the light or darkness of an area, therefore appearing at the same constant size throughout the day and night. This is due to the fact that half of his species are mentally absent from the system, and the brain itself is responsible for knowing to change the size of the pupil to match the light. Out of most of his features this is one of the three that stand out the most. Rather than standing out in a good way, it is unsettling to almost everyone he meets.

— Long Green and Straight

Standing out more than his obscene eye color is the natural green hair that Belkis holds. Currently holding it at a rather long length, his hair is perfectly straight and goes down to the lower part of his back. It is almost always held in a ponytail as he much prefers to keep it out of his hair but does not cut it due to his own preference for longer hair. Much like his eye color this green is slightly darker than expected when one thinks of green, but given the normal browns and black of hair colors unlike the eyes this color seems more natural. Unlike his eyes this may stand out as unnatural and unique but not in a manner that is scary to something. It attracts a good type of attention.

— Low, Mid Tempo, Stern

For the most part Belkis’ voice has two defined variations it can appear in. The first is far more common, and is most often used with everyone. Low in tone, this voice is far more stern and straight to the point. It feels as if it belongs to someone who would speak in fewer words despite the fact that Belkis tends to speak a normal amount. Cold, almost emotionless some would argue that his voice accents his overall negative appearance. Although others, most often those closer to him, would regard the voice as a comfort simply because it is always calm and collected. For those who are panicking or scared there is much less fear attributed to his voice and is part of the reason why he was referred to as the calm moon. Not to mention, rarely does there seem to be any anger or anxiety present in it. Even when Belkis himself seems to be furious the voice remains a steady tempoed low tone. It is simply commanding.

On the other hand on very rare occasions may a second voice surface. Most often used when attempting to comfort someone this tone is one exclusively used in a more soft spoken and relaxed way. Slightly higher in pitch Belkis still retains a calm and stern voice but the raised pitch serves its purpose in being a soothing stern rather than a lecturing one. It is unmistakably his voice but it seems just off enough it is a shock when he speaks.

:cloud: // tattoos / piercings

— None

Currently Belkis has never and still does not have any tattoos or piercings on his body. Given his physical disposition it is presently impossible for him to have either as the skin would heal over itself within a matter of days. This goes for tattoos as well. Not that Belkis cares, neither interests him anyways.

— Casual, Loose Fitting, Easy to Move

The most common clothing to find the alien is one which is more relaxed. Jeans, t-shirts, and sneakers of more monotone colors is the status quo for him. There isn’t any sort of color scheme he falls into, taking whatever goes good together. Quite clearly, little effort is used for what he wears. Sporting a leather jacket is the closest Belkis gets to having any sort of actual clothing style, however, given how often he gets hurt the alien doesn’t bother putting effort into something that will eventually be torn up. Only when acting on official business does the attire change. In order to keep a proper public image, Belkis will wear a suit and tie for all official business being conducted for the organization he is a part of. When these moments happen it is normally a gray suit and vest with a matching tie and undershirt. Replacing the sneakers for dress shoes, every part about him is far more formal.

— None

Since most items which Belkis has on his person often ends up broken or ripped in some capacity there are no accessories that the alien keeps on his person. Previously Belkis had a single black claw necklace but that has been lost to the sands of time. If it is found he would wear it again and take better care of it. He has no interest in getting any more accessories at the present time.

— No Shadow

Standing out the most is the fact Belkis does not have a shadow. Where the other features seem strange, unusual or moderately disturbing they can be explained away by something else; for example s for the eyes or dyed hair. This cannot be. Unlike the pupils this feature is also extremely noticeable from the second one sees Belkis. It is believed that since Belkis was born of the moon itself at the dead of night it is the exact reason he does not have a shadow. After all there are no visible shadows in the night.

— Gray Bunny Rabbit

The second of four forms Belkis can take is the simplest of them all. Presenting as a gray bunny there is not much variant from the textbook rabbit of science books. Gray fur covers most of his body, with white fur present at the base of his paws and tip of his ears. The muzzle for the most part appears gray but it is unclear if it is the result of him just having a dirty nose rather than actual fur color. Most notably different from the textbook image of a rabbit comes in the shape of his green eyes and the ever existing lack of a shadow. Much like with his human form the eldritch green eyes are piercing. Given more rabbits are normally black-eyed, this one stands out especially in light when one can clearly notice his color. As for the shadow bit, it also stands out when there is light around since there simply will not be any sort of shadow. Beyond that, there are not many other differences worth mentioning for this form. He cannot talk in this form due to the lack of presenting vocal cords which would be required for speaking.

Belkis does not take this form often at all to the point even those of his own species forgets that he has it. It is arguable that this is his truest form given the legends around his existence. This rumor is partly true. Along with these legends there are rumors of his fur being all white rather than gray and white before. This rumor is accurate.

Historically he would also not take this form often due to its inability to do much except hop around. Even his own ‘magical’ abilities are not capable of being done correctly given the lack of any sort of reach and controllable front limbs. Useful for stealth, it is ultimately useless.

— 1’8 (20cm) & 11lbs (5kg)

Given it is a form which mirrors an actual bunny, Belkis’ height and weight is the average of a normal bunny’s. He does not like how small this form is. As mentioned prior it is a direct reason for him seeing it as useless. There is no way to make it taller or anything and thus will not change for as long as he lives.

— Monster-like rabbit

While this form may be the third of four it is the second most commonly seen form. Almost mirroring how the second half of his species appears, in this state Belkis appears as an anthropomorphic rabbit. However, unlike the previous form the damages done to him over the course of time becomes more visible. Rather tall, Belkis stands over many of the people he faces simply because of height alone. Where his previous form was a grey in color, this one is dark grey to black with a slightly lighter shade making up the underbelly regions. Starting from the top his rabbit features take precedence. Large ears sit atop his head and for the most part appear much like a standard rabbit’s would. However, glancing at his face below it is clear he is nothing of the sort. First are the vibrant eldritch green pupiless eyes which look as if they could be piercing your soul. Right below them on a wolf-like snout is the small nose and massive fangs that could easily bite through most durable objects. Whiskers rest near the nose but seem almost unnoticeable compared to the mouth. Beyond that the sides of his face mirrors what would be expected of a rabbit in a human-like form, puffier fur making up the cheeks and a slender neck.

His torso is rather slender, despite the strength buried underneath and is almost pure black in fur color except for the chest and stomach regions (where the underbelly would be expected) which is a slightly lighter shade of gray / black fur. His arms for the most part appear more human like, but where the padded hands should be is massive slender furred fingers and claws. They look far more horror monster like than rabbit, the claws seeming almost unnaturally too long while still seeming feasible. For the most part the rabbit nature of Belkis practically vanishes until the structure of his legs reveals it again. Having muscular thighs it appears like any normal human-like legs until the knee, where instead of continuing straight down when standing they bend backwards as would be expected of a human rabbit. Going a short way back and down once the ankle is reached the leg bends forward again so that the paw foot at the bottom is directly below the knee with obvious space in between. While the ankle region is small the feet are massive. As expected of a rabbit the paws clearly show the strength in the legs. Built to jump far higher than Belkis’ own height, it isn’t a surprise his legs are the second most defining feature in this form (the first being his eyes), however, even the paws are not spared the damage from the changes over time. Where there used to only be smaller nails predator bird claws rest. Still for the most part they appear more rabbit than human. Rounding off his appearance is the small rabbit tail he has on the back of his body which is almost unnoticeable given everything else about him.

Belkis, as stated before, is more likely to take this form than the other two. Frequently fighting in this state, especially against more powerful enemies like fellow Balancers; it gives him the best combat advantages by not being excessively tall while still maintaining agility in the form of his powerful legs. Although it is important to note it isn’t taken when meeting most others out of combat unless the species does not appreciate human-like appearances (which is few and far in between). Much like before there were rumors his fur used to be a grey before. This is again accurate.

Historically this form was quite common for him to take, and often he preferred to take this appearance when working with his king. It was similar in appearance and also was just more comfortable with armor. Most of his species got so used to him in this form they assumed it was his base one.

— ~12’ (366cm) & ~3,000lbs (1,361kgs)

Coming in at around fifteen feet, give or take a few inches, this is Belkis’ second largest form. That being said despite its height and his weight being one and a half tons he is extremely lean and well bit. Most of the weight and height lies in his legs and thus is why Belkis has little to no issues with them. Despite the size, Belkis is only considered on the smaller side of average for the height of his species in this form, which is exactly why he is known to be more agile than more like this. Overall since Belkis can use his powers and fight well in this form while not being ashamed of the beast he’s become, it is ideal.

— Demonic Bunny

Belkis may be a rabbit but within the fourth and final form he can take it does not seem like he is. Looking more like a massive quadrupedal wolf demon the rabbit features only truly begin to shine through when looking longer at him. Pure black in color there is very little change in his fur color. Starting at the head again the most rabbit-like thing on him is the long ears which extend backwards like horns from the back of his head. The persistent Eldritch green eyes remain on the sides where the massive European dragon snout holds the rabbit nose by the end and giant fangs. For the front two in particular, they seem to be almost as long as a short adult woman. Where tufts of hair would normally be at the sides of a rabbit face there is fur like whiskers which seem extremely sharp to the touch. Features do not get much better continuing down the body.

The core of his frame is extremely wolf-like, with no true rabbit-like features. Following that belief the front two legs are massive, carrying six claw-like appendages on each paw. The long slender fingers appear surprisingly more human than expected minus the long black talons adorning them. Along his underbelly and front paws there is a miniscule difference of color, the fur appearing less black and more blackish gray. The rest of his body is furred with no noticeable features. The most rabbit thing on his body is the hind legs, which despite holding a general wolf like shape have the massive thighs expected of a rabbit and the bond structure to jumping power. His paws again are similar to the front, with finger-like appendages and massive talons. Rounding off the rest of his body is a much longer wolf-like tail with a sharp tip that looks like it could cut like any of the nails. Except as opposed to most wolf tails this one is far fluffy, accenting the rabbit origin Belkis has.

Belkis only takes this form when absolutely necessary, and prefers to do things without using this form. It is much too big and hard to maneuver in smaller spaces where agility is normally Belkis’ strength compared to others of his species. On top of that this form is the one that shows the most damage from the catastrophe. Legends say that Belkis’ true form used to appear as a mirror image of the legend of the Moon Bunny Yokai with the only difference being a more prominent dark grey palette and a slightly more wolf-like appearance as opposed to the monstrous form he now holds. This is, unfortunately for Belkis, accurate. As for why this change occurred will be discussed further in the document.

Historically Belkis still did not take this form often due to the same reasons stated in the last paragraph. It was only taken when absolutely needed in order to protect the masses. Since his larger form can stop more attacks he became essentially a large shield for the injured. Otherwise it was never used.

— ~52’ (1,585cm) & ~20,000lbs (9,072kg)

Coming in at roughly 52 feet Belkis is still on the smaller side for his species. Most of his weight yet again are in the powerful legs he uses to jump long distances. Appearing still on a slender size the weight is an extremely rough estimate. Belkis does not enjoy the size of this form, because agility and quick movement is everything for a rabbit. There is no quick movement when over 50 feet tall.
