𝐖𝐇𝐎 𝐈𝐒 Valerie?

• Valerie is someone who has gone through very different versions of herself in her life. Once the looming invisible feeling of restraints on who she was Val started to slowly show the deeper parts within. She’s a curious one, loving learning about anything new. Though it can at times make her a bit of a “know it all” with all her factoids. Something she has learned to let go is how people view her. She’s seen every which face of judgment in her lifetime. Poor treatment however? That is something she really can’t tolerate for anyone let alone herself.

Valerie as much as she’s had her court appointed and personal searching of therapists and psychiatric help. When it comes to love she knows the idea and concept but never had the best examples put in place. Making her a little avoidant once it starts feeling to real. It doesn’t change how deeply she can and will feel for people. Val can also be a bit of a hot head though she is quick to correct herself. Having been through one to many awkward confrontations that followed her actions.

Most days Valerie is a good time. She’s always down for an adventure and meeting new people. It takes getting on her bad side or catching her on a bad day to really see the sides of val that she’s spent countless hours of therapy trying to maintain.

𝐓𝐄𝐌𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓: Val lies between being Choleric and Sanguine on the tempermant types.

𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐀𝐋 𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐍𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓: Chaotic Neutral

𝐆𝐎𝐎𝐃 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐓𝐒:

• Courageous, self explanatory with being the reason the cult her parents lost their life to was brought to justice. It may not feel like she has that trait most days like during those days of survival but courage could be her middle name if she truly wanted.

• Resilient. Valerie has always been someone to try and grow through what she’s gone through in life.

• Complex, With having to learn how to chameleon for survival. Valerie is someone who can adapt well to her environment and push through adversity.

𝐁𝐀𝐃 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐓𝐒:

• Jealous. Some may love the toxic behavior but val is just a protective lover girl. She’s not one to get too crazy, but there will either be an attitude to know the green monster is around.

• At times she can be quick to jump to anger. Its not all the time, but there are times val can be a bit of a hot head.

• Deceitful, She’s worked on this the most. Only adapting it for survival, but doesn’t mean she wouldn’t be against using it if the situation called for it.

𝐇𝐎𝐁𝐁𝐈𝐄𝐒:

• Cooking. It’s one of the first things she learned for herself and her independence while in the commune. If it wasn’t for the raid she assisted with. Valerie planned on making her own escape.

• Exploring other museums. She knows the hard work it takes curating each exhibit. Val is someone to give flowers where flowers were due.

• Water Color Painting. What started out as a therapeutic way to relax turned into a small hobby. Most times just doing land scapes or making her own version of tattoo flash sheets to hang on her walls.

𝐋𝐈𝐊𝐄𝐒:

• Hot tea with a splash of whiskey and lemon or glass of wine at the end of a long day. Truthfully she likes any indulgent vice to unwind though she tends to stick with the drink while making dinner.

• Deep conversations. She lived most of her life having to learn what could and couldn’t be said. Now that for the most part had opened up emotionally once again. Getting to see someone is something beautiful in her eyes.

• Feeling controlled or she has lack of control. Obviously she knows she can’t control everything, but anytime she feels like all control is slipping she tends to acting accordingly.

• Pork. It was one of the main meats served at the cult. She does make an exception for bacon, but any other pork product tends to make her gag and feel ill after eating.

• People who are inconsiderate of others and their feelings. This is probably self explanatory with the lore she has.

• From the start Valerie didn’t have a normal life. Her father was somewhat of a name in business. only barely rubbing elbows with some the elites of the time in their area. Her mother was more of a free spirit. Wanting to entertain “being apart of something bigger than themselves”. One weekend men in suits filled her dinning room going over the latest numbers on the market. The next was her mother’s “new friends” at the time doing what felt like preaching. It wasn’t long till she witnessed her father getting wrapped up in the same individuals as val’s mom too.

• One of val’s biggest memories was at the age of six, her now younger sister aged two, and parents leaving her childhood home. As some car took them to what she deemed hell. For the next eight years Valerie made a compound in the woods her home. Helping in the ways her “age” permitted tending to gardens, helping with meat preparation, cooking, tending the young, all the way till it was seemed fit to have a child of her own. The Augustin’s had their hooks into everyone, and Valerie at age ten was taken under the wing of the leaders wife, olivia. Her parents saw it as an honor for their daughter to learn the ways from their leader. Valerie saw it as the first crack forming with her beliefs.

The closer she got with the leaders the more lies she uncovered. Realizing that they were only there out of pure manipulation and feeling accepted. Being forced to put on rituals, sacrifices, and offerings to appease what they thought was some ancient gods. When really it was just a shared delusion of god complexes. The next three and a half years she gathered as much evidence as she could. In this time her parents mysteriously died the two were offered at gifts to the Augustin’s and their “council” to as they say ‘absorb their love and knowledge to on again’. What Val saw that night changed the girl.

While mourning the loss of both of her parents Valerie finally got the cults actions appearing in the public’s media. Two months later and a raid was held on the compound by most there lettered agencies. Bringing the augustin’s and their main ing to trial. Media and court documents would label her as tween #13 when she made statements. At 19 she decided to come forward of her own will on the five year anniversary. Going under an alias of Veronica landon, afraid if other followers who were still free had allegiance to their followers who sit behind bars. Meanwhile her younger sister got the better ending to her story. Having been adopted by her foster family. The two only now speaking on rare occasion. Rebeca acting like those years never happened and val sometimes not being able to forget.

• What Valerie gained out of her settlement she put to good use. Using it partially to pay for her schooling while she worked. First trying to use the money made the woman feel sick. Knowing that she only has it at the expense of so much loss and sadness. Now she really only uses it for everyday. it’s what paid off the condo she owns, the student loans she took, and the necessities she needs. Everything else is covered by her own job. Now she just tries to put that part of life behind her
