➵ Furuya Teahouse has been around for quite some time, now operated by its third generation of family ownership. It’s name comes from it’s original founder, Ai Furuya, which at the time of creating her business, was very eager to make something of herself; using her surname as a mark of pride in herself and her success. Even as time ed, and Furuya became elderly, the Teahouse became the family’s greatest success, as well as the community it resides in.

↳˳⸙;; ❝ Hospitality ᵕ̈ ೫˚∗:  

➵ The Teahouse offers a variety of services, but primarily, is a Teahouse. Thanks to its large infrastructure, the Teahouse offers a variety of tea drinking options, such as a casual walk-in or an event appointment. The Teahouse also serves a variety of food options, primarily snacks and sweets. With its location and the importance of Tea in local customs, Furuya Teahouse gains most of its revenue through tea ceremonies and event hosting.

➵ The Furuya Teahouse has been open for just over 100 years, spanning over several generations. when it first started operating, it looked nothing like how it does now; it was a small and aging building, just big enough to fit a handful of seating arrangements. It was opened around the winter months, presumably Ai Furuya’s birth-month. The exact date was lost to time.

↳˳⸙;; ❝ Shop Products ᵕ̈ ೫˚∗:  

➵ The main product of the Furuya Teahouse is- well- tea. Furuya sells a variety of tea grown and cultivated around the Gorin Kingdom, and some other parts of Rozen. The Teahouse even has a small supply of its own tea leaves. Besides the in-house tea that is served, they sell packaged leaves and locally made tea sets.

↳˳⸙;; ❝ Location ᵕ̈ ೫˚∗:  

➵ The Furuya Teahouse is located just within the borders of Gorin’s Central City. It sits along the last walking roads leading into the city, a river behind it.

↳˳⸙;; ❝ Interior Design ᵕ̈ ೫˚∗:  

➵ From the entrance onwards, the Furuya Teahouse welcomes it’s guests to warm dark brown tones of the wood floor boarding and pale purple wallpaper. In it’s entrance, There is a reception room with a small western desk of similar wood as the building. Sliding doors appear on both sides of the desk, making it an isolated space. Warm light comes from the overhead lamps that hang from the flat and 7’ ceiling.

beyond the sliding doors, Guests are guided from either side to the general seatings along the Teahouse. In its rectangular shape, 3 sides contain Tea rooms of three kinds. One is a traditional tearoom, usually for casual company. A second one is a room with a window with the interior terrace visible. The third option would be an outdoor seating; most common during warm months. the casual tearooms have a variety of seating arrangements; including tea tables, circular throw pillows, and adjustable tatami matts. There are very few private rooms in the Teahouse, and both have their own sections of the building. Both have a clear and beautiful view of the terrace. The private rooms have much more expensive quality furniture as well as provided tea sets. the tables are of high grade wood, and the seating pillows and curtains made of high quality fabrics. All rooms except the walkways and entrance have tatami matt flooring. Rooms throughout the Teahouse vary in height.

The smallest rooms are the general tearooms, and the tallest being the work houses. The Kitchen building is the constantly buzzing. It is divided into two sections, baking and tea making. Both utilise a giant fire pit to make their goods. The tea makers boil their water, while the treats bake. Ingredient supplies lines the walls in hand-braided tall baskets.

The Auditing room is divided into two sections, the front and smallest section being the Boss’ desk. The boss’s desk is a traditional one; short and very long. a beautifully stitched carpet and seating pillow mark where the Owner is usually working. Drawers line the room for a professional and neat look. the room is almost perfectly boxy, and no doors leading to the laundering room. The doors accessing the laundry room are in the hallway between the general tearooms and the second workhouse. The Laundry room is filled with large wood buckets and other cleaning supplies like metal water buckets and a variety of soap. another set of sliding doors to the outer-side of the building reveals a tiny terrance with a running water spout for clean water attached to the stone terrace wall.

↳˳⸙;; ❝ Exterior Design ᵕ̈ ೫˚∗:  

➵ The building’s stone outer wall sits in front of a steep river bed, Wrapping all the way around to the frontal garden entrance in a rectangular shape, serving as a property line. Inside these walls is a traditional japanese architecture, all in a simular rectangular shape like the outer walls; creating a wide open space in the center of the property. The roofing of the buildings and walls are a dark purple shade. outdoor walkways are visible in the terrace, which contained a few koi ponds; two elevated from the ground, and one in a natural state; which flows water from the river. Flowers and Tea-leaves are also grown naturally in the terrace. Each Corner of the buildings are dedicated Areas for business operations. One corner is for Cooking and Other guest tending tasks. One corner is for laundering and book keeping. and the last two, which are smaller than the working ones, are for private guests. The entrance to Furuya Teahouse is a circular Arch, usually decorated with seasonal lamps. it is paved with smooth stones indicating a straight path forward. The entrance of the building itself was withdrawn into the property, leaving an open space for trees and other greenery to thrive and be maintained. Paper lanterns would be strung between tree branches in front of the Teahouse. The entrance is notably the shorter part of the building height-wise, creating a comfortable environment leading into the rest of the building.

↳˳⸙;; ❝ Shop Logo ᵕ̈ ೫˚∗:  

➵ While the Furuya Teahouse does not employ much of a ‘logo’ the traditional kanji for the business’ name in elegant light pink calligraphy is clearly embellished on the wood signs leading to the entrance. the kanji and common print is also on the packages of the Teahouse’s products.
