☆•°˖✧Appearance✧˖°•☆

●Samara has almost snow white hair, that reaches her waist. They’re thin and get tangled very easily, so they often stick together in strands and it’s a pain in the ass to brush them. But no matter that, she still keeps them loose and in their true form - straight. Sometimes she would tie them up in a high pony tail, but more to keep them away from her eyes. For bigger occasions she would even curl the ends to make herself look more...cute●

●Before becoming a Subclass, her eyes were light blue with some small brown dots around her pupils. But nobody cares, because she’s a vampire now, so her eyes are red. The dots that were brown before are still there, in slightly darker shade of red. But the shades are so close to one another, they are pretty much invisible, unless you have a staring competition with her●

●Her skin is quite pale. Not in a sick way, but she is clearly missing some vitamin D. However that doesn't bother her much. And due to the light tone of her skin, it is easy to see when she feels flustered or embarrassed●

※Clothing※

Well the one thing Sam almost never wears (unless the occasion demands it) are skirts. Cross off any skirts or dresses out of your list, because she is not going to wear them. Jeans, formal tros, leggings, all types of shorts are fine. For the upper half, its mostly classical shirts. Black, white, khaki, something similar. No too bright colours. Sometimes t-shirts, or long close-fit/loose sweaters. When it’s colder - black or brown bomber jacket with fur. (A.N. She’s also obsessed with high-heels, just like yours truly, but they don't go past 10cm/3.9" high)

※Height※

170cm/5'6"-5'7"

☆•°˖✧Personality✧˖°•☆

●Before she became a Subclass, Samara was like any other girl her age. Funny, outgoing, a little bit of a smart-ass. Like any other girl, she would fangirl like a freak over one or the other actor or artist. As her parents were always away, she would get pretty wild at some points, like any other teen. But then again, she did have a sense of responsibility, which was probably the only reason why she managed to stay out of trouble●

●After the incident, however, Sam became a complete introvert, not leaving her apartment for months, only to run to the store and back. But after she found a job, she slowly came out of her shell●

●Now she’s just a cluster of...everything. She laughs, like she has never been happier; she gets mad, like she never was before; she gets spooked like she is the biggest scaredy cat. But she never shows sadness. The other emotions might be just a mask, but that’s just a speculation (A.N. I really haven’t decided yet if i want to go that path. Might be that she’s just enjoying her new life to the fullest and she’s not wearing any masks, I don’t know. I guess this would develop in the RP)●

●She is quick to laugh at situations, no matter how serious they might be. If she finds something that is funny, she will let out at least a quiet snort… Can’t help it. When it comes to confrontations, especially not so peaceful ones, she tries to stay as calm as possible and figure things out by word instead of action. However...if talking doesn’t help in the first few minutes, she’s ready to throw someone to a concrete wall. Yeah, she gets annoyed pretty fast●

●Samara is very protective of Mahiru and also loyal to him, as he is the only person alive, who knew her before she became a Subclass. He is also one of the few people she can call a true friend, since she never had many of those, no matter how outgoing she was and how many ‘friends’ she had●

●More about the ‘scaredy cat’ part. She’s not really a scaredy cat, when it comes to real life or expected situations. Like, she’s not going to run away from a fight, no, she’s going to run head on into the middle of it. But...horror games and jumpscare pranks...that’s what gets her the most●

(A.N. I’m never good at personalities, because they tend to change depending on my mood or the situation in RP, so I guess...forget everything you just read and I’ll develop this later on… Lol, no, but it may change a bit)

☆•°˖✧Powers and their drawbacks✧˖°•☆

※Immune to sunlight※

Just like Tsubaki’s Subs, Samara can also walk in sunlight and not get killed by it. Simple as that. But it has it’s drawbacks, as she gets really sleepy and tired, and can’t really focus on anything, while she’s in the sun. That’s why she usually tries to stay inside while on sunny days. If it’s cloudy, she doesn’t look as bad and it seems like she just was short on one or two hours of sleep. Before Mahiru knew that she was a Sub, she would explain herself, that her night job is a hell hole and the stress sometimes takes her sleep away.

※Audio/Visual illusions※

This is a spell that has no known name, taught to her by her magician grandfather when Sam was very little. She doesn't need no incantations or weapons to use it

°The spell has three stages°

•Non-battle/Stage 0: In this stage, Sam can use only the audio illusion, which would usually be some sort of melody. For example - a song she heard or a radio and wanted to share it with Lily. Or, if in a super good mood - burst out into a random song like in a Disney movie. This doesn't take a lot of her stamina and can be used for hours. She can concentrate if she wants a group of people to hear the melody or only one person•

•Battle/Stage 1: When it comes to fighting, the audio illusions become insufferably loud. Loud enough to make one feel immense pain in their head and render them immobile for a certain period of time. However, due to the stress caused from the fight and the usage of the stronger version of the spell, Samara's stamina drains more faster and it is easy to wear her down, even though she usually concentrates on one person only.

(A. N. For mmorpg players - it's more of a ‘’ type thing, as it staggers or stuns the enemy for a certain period of time)•

•Meltdown/Stage 2: Depending on her mental state (if she is enraged or having a panic attack), Sam will, most likely, unknowingly unleash the last stage of the spell, which involves visual illusions. She can't control the radius of the 2nd stage so everyone around her would be affected. The illusions would consist of an eerie, uneasy and sometimes even horrific scenes, which would bring out the feeling of dread in those affected by the spell, yet drawing them in deeper, like some sort of drug. Using the visual illusions, Samara's energy would drain faster than she could notice, considering she can't control it, thus leaving her with only minutes until she es out. The 2nd stages activation is purely instinctive and would be used as a last resort to protect or to avenge•

-Stages 1 and 2 drawbacks-

•The spell is not perfected and still has it's own issues. One being, that if it is used on one person more than one time - the said person slowly becomes immune to it. The pain from Stage 1 becomes more and more bearable until the person can't feel it anymore. (Same with the visuals and the feeling of dread. The person still might be shocked by the scenes, tho...) Some people are immune to the battle stages of the spell since birth. No reason as to 'why' they are - they just are. Mahiru and Mikuni being two of those people.

(A. N. She haven't used the spell on neither of them yet.)•

Since Sam hadn't used the spell since she was ~6yo, and completely forgot it existed in the first place - she believes it was due to the accident, her turning into a vampire and an asshole magician, that she was able to use the spell again.

※Immunity to Servamp's bite※

Believed to be Samara's 'vampire power', as she can create something like a second skin, when she is bitten, to keep the djinn inside. Just like staying in sunlight, this also makes her feel tired, and the only way to get back to normal is to 'feed'.

(A. N. I am still thinking of merging this with Sunlight Immunity and calling it Advanced Regeneration or something, but for now I'll leave it like this, until I figure out how to explain more of it.)

☆•°˖✧Background✧˖°•☆

Samara was born in Great Britain, near London. Her family wasn't super rich, but wealthy enough to have a nice life. They didn't have mansions or private jets, but they did have a big house and could afford to go on vacation to some exotic islands. All in all, it was a good life.

With her parents also lived her grandfather, who taught her magic, as soon as he noticed that she has the potential. However, he died when Samara was still very little, leaving her with only one perfectly mastered spell - audio illusions.

Time ed and since her grandfather was gone, Sam didn't practice magic anymore, as her parents always thought those were just simple tricks and not the real deal. Eventually, she completely forgot that she was able to use magic.

When Samara turned 12yo, her parents decided to move to Japan. She had a year to learn Japanese and prepare for changes. Despite having to leave her current life behind, she reacted quite calmly to that.

For a year her family lived peacefully in Japan. Samara made friends, ed clubs and lived as any other young teenager in a happy family.

When she turned 15yo, her parents decided to have a long trip around the world (both got the middle-age crisis, if you ask me, and got a bit too… Carried away). Since Samara herself took education very seriously, she didn't complain when her parents didn't take her with them. Instead they promised to keep her updated via social media, calls, postcards, from time to time come back and visit her; and when she finished school - even take her with them during her vacation.

So that's how she started to live alone in the apartment, and that's when she met Mahiru at the age of 16. He wasn't older than 8 back then, and a little push of luck made Sam bump into him and his uncle, who, apparently lived one floor down, right below her.

The first meeting was just a nice quick chat with both of them, but when she met Mahiru’s uncle for the second time, he offered her a job. Something like a babysitter, but not quite. Sam was supposed to make sure Mahiru got to school and back home safe, that he does his chores, that's he's well fed, and that his homework are done, since his uncle couldn't do this himself because of his work. So in a way - a caretaker.

So she watched over Mahiru, when his uncle was out of town. She taught him how to cook, helped with his homework, and many other things that a person should know about life. Toru sent her money for the food and expenses every month, together with a small pay for her work, even though she tried to talk him out of it, saying that Mahiru is a sweet kid and keeps her company, plus she had enough money, since her parents sent her some every month too. Eventually she would spend the pay on ice cream and share it with Mahiru.

Now the years went on pretty much the same. Sam finished high school and was still deciding which university to pick, but her parents asked her to take a break and them in their everlasting tour.

Her parents came back to Japan on the start of summer break. Sam introduced Uncle Toru and Mahiru to them on one of the evenings, when they were invited for a dinner. The evening went by with Uncle Toru cracking his stupid jokes and Sam with her father laughing at them, like it was the best comedy. Mahiru and Samara’s mother found interest in making roses from little radishes, for some reason..

The plan was to get to Australia on Samara’s birthday, when she turns 20. The flight was 9 hours long, and they got a plane that would fly them there right at 8am.

They were already going to the airport with their car. The streets we're still busy, even it was a late evening. While standing still because of a red light in front of them, Sam noticed little black cat on the sidewalk. It looked cold and sad so alone, so being the reckless little girl she was, she jumped out of the car and in the matter of moments, she had the kitten in her arms and was getting back in the car. She got a serious scolding from her parents for jumping out like that, but she managed to calm them down and even persuade them in turning back and leaving the cat with Mahiru and Toru,as he was back for the whole summer, as they still had plenty of time to spare before the plane takes off.

So they turned around and pressed on gas pedal just a bit more harder, to get there as quick as possible, while still being safe. Making this short, a big dog ran out into the street, making the truck's driver out of instinct turn the wheel to the side, making the truck and the car, Samara's family was in, collide head first. Later on she would find out that her parents, together with the truck driver died almost instantly. The only thing that ‘saved’ her, was that she was sitting in the back, already curled up, trying to protect the cat.

But Sam didn't feel very safe, as her whole body was burning in pain. Some parts already going numb and her vision going black slowly, as she layed half way out of the smashed car. She gave a little thought about the cat, was it fine? But then she felt only anger as she didn't want to go like this. She didn't want to die. She distinctly re some voices, one male and the other female. She can't what they we're talking about, as she heard only one question from the woman ‘do you want to live?’. Sam tried to answer yes, but she can't if she actually managed to say it out loud.

She woke up in the hospital bed after few days. Thinking that the woman was just a dream, she brushed it off like nothing. The doctor explained how lucky she was to avoid the main impact and get out of there with no more than few bruises that healed incredibly fast. The change of her eye color was explained through some ‘stress might have called out your albino gene that you and your mother shared’-type of bullshit, that, to be honest, Sam didn't really paid attention to.

Mahiru came to visit everyday, while Sam was in the hospital, but even her old friend couldn't get her out of her current state, which was - staring at a wall the whole time and giving only short answers. She had too much on her mind at that moment.

When she was able to finally go home, she completely locked herself away from the outside world, ignoring Mahiru and his uncle. Partially because of the incident and partially because she started to see that she wasn't human anymore.

After a few years of doing completely nothing, she slowly got out of her shell and found a job at a night club. Doing night shifts as a bartender or sometimes even a guard, because she's definitely not afraid to kick some douche out in the alley. She also started to take dancing classes twice a week before her job, violin classes once a week and kick boxing three times a week. But she still tried to keep her distance from Mahiru and avoided him as best as she could. But it was nearly impossible to avoid him completely, as he lived in the same building. They bumped into each other one day and Mahiru didn't let Sam run away, like she would've.

They talked things over at Mahiru’s. Sam explaining and writing her absence down on depression and anxiety, though she had no idea if that could even be the case, and completely ‘forgetting’ to mention the fact, that she has been a vampire for two years now.

They started to meet up more frequently. Either right after school or before Sam needed to head to work. She met his friends all over again, Ryusei and Koyuki.

During her third and fourth year as a vampire, Sam encountered couple of subclasses. One of them being Sakuya, as Mahiru was confused as to why she couldn't his childhood friend. Sam didn't give much care about him being a vampire or prying his way into Mahiru's life, as long as he didn't hurt the boy. She was sure to make it clear to Sakuya, when she managed to catch him alone for a moment.

Another subclass being the asshole magician, who figured it was fine to attack people near the club she was working at. The attacks weren't a very good ment, so Sam took it upon herself to get rid of the vampire, or at least make him go all the way to the other side of the city, please and thank you. The magician had too many tricks up his sleeve (or his hat) and she would've been pretty much 'scewered', if it wasn't for the little spell that popped into her head out of nowhere. The pain in his head seemed to be strong enough to drive him out of this area as Sam didn't see him anymore.

After the run in, Sam got curious about who was the Servamp that turned her. It didn't take long to figure out who it was, as she stumbled upon an antique shop, that supposedly was selling items to deal with vampires. The freaky sciency-looking guy, going by the name of Faustus, after an hour trying to get a straight answer out of him, finally revealed that there is only one female Servamp. Though he could not dismiss the fact that the male, who she said she heard as well, could be the one to turn her. And that would be a bigger challenge, since there were 5 of them. (By the process of elimination Faustus decided that Pride was not present, as he still looks and sounds like a child.)

Now that Sam knew about The Mother, she wanted to actually meet her and ask about that night. But it was impossible, as she was not in the country.

For the next couple of months, Samara was still good at hiding who she really is from Mahiru and his two human friends. But everything went downhill when the kid picked up a stray cat and named it.

Sam was supposed to meet the group near the train station and help them out with the school festival, before she needs to get to work. But she was running late from her dance class, and by the time she got there - the God damn magician fucked everything up again.

She had to jump in to the fight, and fighting against a vampire while looking as human as possible was a pretty hard thing to do. So she didn't do it. And since she already knew the magician, it was easy to stop him, especially since she had a Servamp to help out. A Servamp who's Eve was Mahiru. A huge 'no' in her book, but she couldn't change it.

So there they were. A subclass of Wrath, a Servamp of Sloth and his Eve, and a magician puppet. Great... Sam had a lot of explaining to do, and so did Mahiru, so after taking care of Ryusei, they went back home, and while Kuro lazed around the TV, they talked it out. (Though at one point Sam couldn't fail to notice that Kuro's cat form looks awfully familiar.)

※Hobbies/Talents※

●Well, just like myself, Sammy is an..artsy person. So music, drawing, a little bit of writing, that stuff. Her hobbies and talents somewhat cross together, especially knowing her one and only spell. She’s good with piano and guitar, also taking violin classes. She’s not perfect, as harder songs are a pain in the ass for her, but if she set her mind to learn one or another song, she will do it. Eventually… As for drawing, she’s not a ‘realistic’ type. She doodles chibi’s and something similar to that style, as it’s easier. In writing, it’s mostly short poems or stories●

●More to the ‘hobby’ side - she likes to read and play games. Fantasy books/mmorpg games, to be more specific. She also likes to dance. Hip hop, street, Kpop dance●

※Fav. animal※

Felines and wolves (A.N. Believe it or not, these two were my favs waaaay before I watched Servamp. I guess my loves for cat family and wolves came from 6th or 7th grade… I dont to be 100% sure, but it’s close to that time)

※Voice※

Her voice is pretty sweet sounding, yet it's calm and smooth. She’s usually pretty loud, and more silent when she’s not sure, afraid or embarassed.

Examples of how Sam’s voice may sound:

aLIEz ft. Paperblossom - EDM dj-Jo Remix

RBYN - Angel

REOL - YoiYoi Kokon

Within Temptation ft. Howard Jones - Dangerous

(A.N. None of these are 100% true to her voice, but while singing and/or talking she might change it from lower to highier and back, so I guess it’s all up to your imagination to figure out how she sounds. All 4 songs are close, so you can pick whichever you like more, I guess)

☆•°˖✧Writing style example✧˖°•☆

Few parts from currently ongoing RP.

Me as Tsurugi and Sam.

<…>Tsurugi looked back at Hyō, slightly swinging from side to side to some kind of imaginary melody. He was mouthing the lyrics, 'One plus one is Shū-chan. Two plus two is Shū-chan...', while doing that, waiting for Hyō's reaction, and in the same time showing that he loved it. This was so much fun. Though, in a way, he was feeling sorry for poor Shū. Ever since this blonde devil ed C3, he's getting twice the pranks as before. Hyō was a ruthless senpai, but a fun one nonetheless. There were so many possibilities of what they could do when they their forces together. Who knows which one of their friends will be the next victim. As for now - Tsurugi has to finish what he started. Stoping his silly mute singing on the poem, he put his attention back into doing the paper crane out of the report. This time, seeing as no one was paying attention to him, besides the female, he folded the crane more carefully - making the edges more sharp so the origami would look more elegant.

When that was done, Tsurugi put both Hyō's and his report cranes next to the others he have done so far. He stared at them for a moment, counting all of them in his head, so he wouldn't forget which ones were his and the girl's. Though there wasn't much need to the positions of the report cranes, as they were slightly different from the other ones. His own crane was sloppy and rushed, since he was trying not to get caught by his friends; while Hyō's report was an example of what a perfect crane should look like. He did put more time into it, so it wasn't as surprising that this was the outcome. Yet, comparing to the rest - good, yet still small army of cranes, that looked like a copy of one another - this was like a game of 'spot the main character' Huh... Tsurugi cocked his head to the side slightly, while taking in the scene. The first thought that came to his mind was - that's not good. If Shū-chan can tell which cranes were the reports after one glance, then that was no fun. He will have to make more cranes that look like his and Hyō's. Another thought, though... Was somewhere deep in the corner of his mind; somewhere where he tries not to go, while Jun and Yumi or Hyō are around.  A thought, like a snake slithering and trying to see a way out of that corner, that maybe... Maybe the cranes are not that far of a representation from their real selves and their worth. Just a thought.

The rest of the hour ran past quite nicely. Tsurugi was busy with his cranes; sometimes starting to humm a random melody while folding the never ending army of birds; sometimes letting out a silent chuckle because of a funny joke he ed. At one point Yumikage probably became annoyed by Tsurugi's random and not even that good humming, so he put on a radio broadcast on his laptop. Tsuru also heard his blonde friend scoff couple of times, curse like three times and there was at least a ten minute part where Yumi was writing something, as it was indicated by the clacking noise of the keyboard. Tsurugi didn't care what it was. It could've been work stuff, or maybe be was commenting something on the internet - who knows. Whatever it was, it had nothing to do with him. So as long as the silent curses (which were greeted by Jun's scowl) weren't directed at him - Tsurugi ignored them whatsoever. He got so focused on making the cranes and swinging from left to right to the rhythm of the music, he didn't notice when Shūhei came back, nor his little exchange with Hyō. Only when the male called for him for the second time, did Tsurugi lift his head up and looked at him.

"Huh? Shū-chan?..." He wasn't even playing. Tsurugi was really confused there for a moment. A report? He couldn't tell if he did write one, and if he did - where did he put it.

"I... Um, I- wha-?" He was looking from Shū to Hyō, and from her to Jun, who looked worried, hoping for some help. Why his brain had to black out now? A scrunched up ball of paper hitting him in the head, made the male flinch. The ball bounced up and landed back on Tsurugi's head, making him blink couple of times out of confusion.

"Shūhei brought you and Hyō paper for your reports and origami, , you forehead?" Yumi explained, while leaning over his chair and glaring at him. Tsurugi slowly took the paper ball from his head, while thinking everything over. Yes, Shū-chan did bring the paper, and scared him, so...he decided to get back at him by...making paper cranes.

"Yeah, I did write the report..." His eyes got that glimmer of mischief in them again, as he straightened the paper and started folding it into another crane.

"Where is it, then?" Shū squinted his eyes, clearly not happy about his sudden smile and the amount of cranes that were scattered all over the table and the floor around the male. Shūhei was sure he didn't bring that much paper for Kamiya to play with, so where did he get more of it?

Tsurugi looked around, now pretending to be slightly confused about all the cranes. "I don't know~" he purred with a note of evil in his voice. "Somewhere around, I guess~"

He put Shū on mute in his head. It was kind of hilarious to see the guy so annoyed. He even turned to his senpai for help~ Or so he thought. He didn't listen. Instead he put the crane made out of the paper ball on his head and turned to his blonde friend. "Yumi-chan, look! I'm a tsuru!"

Yumi only frowned at the pun. "Throw it out. It's all scrunched up"

"No! I'm a trash tsuru!" The male laughed repeating the pun, only to get the crane knocked down by another paper ball followed by 'the hell you are' from Yumi. Tsurugi cried out a faint 'noo', but gave his attention back to Yumi when he addressed Shū. <…>

____

<…>For the past 10 minutes, the girl was staring at the wall in front of her, eating her chips and just dropping her phone on the couch from vertical position to horizontal, from that back to vertical and so on. (She still had to keep an eye on Kuro so he wouldn't make the same move towards her snack. No, those were hers!) She had an important phone call to make, but she still wasn't sure if it was worth it, as today's plan failed. But maybe Mahiru was right. Even if there won't be any Tsubaki-filled action, she can still hang out with them. No matter how weird it would look like for a grown ass woman to be spending time with teens. (Not that Kuro or Lily were any younger.)

Misono falling on the table made her jump a bit and come back from her thoughts. Great, spacing out again. Why don't you spend the rest of your life like that - worrying? The little voice in the back of Sam's head snickered at her irritation caused by herself. She could feel a headache creeping in, and surprisingly it wasn't because of the vampire who she did saw snatch a handful of her chips. She turned to him, ready to scold the male again, but stopped mid-thought. Those were just chips, they were not worth this. Or anything he did was worth her getting mad over it. Slight annoyance - sure, it was hard of getting used to someone as lazy. But not getting mad over it, which she was doing for at least the past week. She can't deny it - she was an asshole to him, and a really big one at that.

But she wasn't one to give up quickly, so it was a surprise for her when she put the chips next to him. "Knock yourself out." It didn't sound as nicely as she thought it would, but her brain set her priorities right - first was to make the phone call, and only second was to argue about chips.

Sam stood up from her seat and made it to the hallway, telling Mahiru that she'll make a quick call while they gather up the things. She didn't put much attention to it, but inside the music was still on, and, even if not as loud, it still was hard to think in there. Here, however, was quiet. It was late, so there weren't as many people, and for those who were at the KTV - they were in their own rooms, screaming their lungs out to a popular tune. Sam walked further away, towards the reception, putting all of her words in order, now that her mind was more clear. She dialed the number and leaned to a column, while eyeing some people Sagami was now attending. After a few seconds she heard a click and the calm voice of her boss, asking if everything was alright. Here we go. She asked if she could get a few weeks off. She didn't explain 'why' she needed them, and her boss wasn't someone who pries into other's businesses.

While she was still on the phone, Samara noticed something peculiar. A white backpack with wings. It looked adorable, but a bit too weird for her to actually have it. On other girls, though - it looked awesome. Except that this particular backpack was not worn by a girl, but rather an European-looking guy. He was talking with Sagami and was completely ignoring the squeaking sound that came from the cage he was holding. Sam moved a little bit to the side to see what was in the cage. And it was adorable. The little hedgehog didn't seem to find a place to lay down, or just hated the cage, so he kept on scratching the bars and squeaking. It was kind of annoying and she wondered why Sagami isn't saying anything about the animal, but before she could finish that thought, her boss finally gave the blessing.

"Really? I mean-... Is everything gonna be fine if I'm gone?" Sam moved back towards their room, catching a glimpse of the guy with angel backpack leaving the KTV. 'No, it's fine, don't worry. Just run by us tomorrow so we can do the paperwork' Victory. <…>
