It's Complicated S3 Part 6 :rotating_light: Back Again :rotating_light:

It had been weeks since Josh shot and killed Zach in order to save Leo's life. It was eating away at him day and night. Most nights, he couldn't even sleep, let alone eat. Taking someone's life in order to save someone seemed easy at the time, yet it was the hardest thing he'd ever had to do in his life.

  Josh stayed hidden in an old trailer that had been abandoned. There was at least a couch for him to sleep on and a working bathroom. As he laid there asleep, someone had stopped by to see him.

Leo: Time to wake up, Josh.

  He said in a sweet whisper. Josh responded, rubbing his eyes he saw Leo standing there looking at him.

Josh: Leo? How did you find me?

Leo: Have you forgotten I'm good at finding people. There are cameras all over the town. Thankfully, the authorities don't know how to use them.

Josh: Still got that black eye is see. Where's Henry?

Leo: Oh, umm... Henry left me and said it was best if we saw other people. Guess he didn't want me around anymore.

  Josh could see the hurt in Leo's eyes. He and Henry had been together for a few years, to think that they weren't together anymore it was, well, unreal.

Patting that couch, Josh gestured for his friend to have a seat next to him.

Josh: I'm sorry if any of this had anything to do with me killing Zach. I was just..

Leo: Don't be sorry if not for you taking that shot... Who knows what would have happened. Henry wasn't going to try saving me, but you did. Maybe that's why he ended things. Maybe deep down, he knew he couldn't work up the nerve to save me the way you had.

Josh: If we're being totally and completely honest.. I was never planning on pulling that trigger. It just happened.

  Leo looked at Josh with a smile that was both warming and sweet. He knew that Josh wasn't going to pull that trigger, but in the end, he was profoundly happy that he had. Though it did suck that Josh had to stay hidden.

Leo: I know, but I'm glad you did. I'm indebted to you now.

Josh: That's not necessary, Leo. Just live your life, and live it freely.

Leo: I will one hundred percent, only..

Josh: Only, what?

Leo paused and took several minutes before he could find the words to say to Josh. He knew what he wanted to say, but yet he didn't want to say anything. At least not yet anyway.

Leo: *Nervously Laughs* It's nothing really, so don't worry about it, okay? However, I'm still worried for you. I mean, what's going to happen if they do find you? After it was literally self-defense.

Josh: Was it, though? I mean, after all, I took the life of someone. Sure, you could argue it was self-defense, but with that said, it doesn't exactly excuse the fact that I wanted to kill him. He was a bad person, but at the end of the day, he was still human.

The two of them sat there in silence, never once saying another word for a while. Josh wasn't sure of what would happen to him if the authorities caught him. Would he be exonerated from the fact that he killed a man? Or would they find him guilty and lock away the keys?

  Only time would tell..

****Meanwhile****

  James and Shawn were sitting on the bed after having a little alone time. James hated that he cheated on Emma. She didn't deserve it, but what's done was done, and there was no way of going back.

  The two of them just sat there talking about things. Neither one of them seemed to know what any of this meant for them.

James: This has to stop Shawn. I can't be into you like this, I have an image to uphold.

Shawn: You're honestly going to put your family first over the love we secretly share? Why?

James: Because I hope to have a family someday...

Shawn: We can totally have that..

James: A normal family, one where my kids have a mother and a father, not two dads.

Shawn understood where he was coming from, but this wasn't something people necessarily looked down on anymore. Well, maybe a small percentage of people, but it was now the new norm. But truth be told herself didn't have any aspirations of becoming a parent.

Shawn: We'll good news I don't want to be a parent.

James: See, even if I choose you, it wouldn't work out. Besides, you're not one to be tied down. You like to party and have fun. That's why I can't leave Emma to be with you.

Shawn: So you do like me, I knew it.

James: Only slightly, so don't get the wrong impression. But this is the last time we're hooking up.

Shawn: I don't know, let's see how long that'll last. I give it a week tops.

   The two of them carried on a conversation for a short while. James did wonder what being with Shawn as his lover would be like. "Would it be better? Or would it be a mistake?" He thought to himself.

   Either way, he wasn't sure if he was ready to take that leap. So for now, he would just try not thinking about the what if and live for the now, making sure he did right by Emma from here on starting now.
