SSBM Twitter/Tournament Recap

Melee has had some neat stuff going on recently, most notably llod beat Hungrybox in bracket— this marks the first time Juan has lost to a Peach since the super early days of Armada. Juan also mentioned on both Twitter and YouTube that he was not feeling particularly motivated to play Melee at the moment, and I’d like to go over what this would mean for the Melee scene. This blog could either be a general twitter recap or more focused on Hungrybox, idfk depends how I’m feeling.

Metagame Analysis - Briefly Blissful

Honestly I just want to talk about this thread and why the metagame almost always becomes more stale over time due to optimization. When a game first releases, the lack of optimization makes almost any strategy viable— I’d like to talk a little about this, plus look at how Melee somehow achieved a more diverse meta over time rather than a more stale one (reverse 20XX ig).
