Guys, I have a shocking revelation.
I'm working on a moveset.
Jokes aside, I'm currently working on two different projects that I'm super excited for, one being a regular project done on my own, but the other is actually a collaborative group effort involving the people from the FFC Discord server, one which I'll keep a surprise to the rest of you until we've finished and posted.
But the main focus of this question is of the former project. I won't spoil who it is, but they're a rework of a past moveset and they ended up being rather complicated, packing a few gimmicks and a pretty loaded kit. It's already requiring a change of pace to work fully, so I was wondering if I should change things up a bit.
The first option is to do it the same way you"d expect me to use the traditional format - we'd go over every move individually, most similar to Regigigas or some of my pre-Spy blogs. Each move would get a full amount of time in the spotlight and I can go into as many nuances as I need to. However, it will (probably) increase the blog's length, and I should mention up front that there are some moves that blend together and may not be interesting individually, meaning that there may be some low points during the blog.
On the other hand, the character is one who focuses on 4 weapons for the moveset, each of which all serve similar purposes. If I write the blog differently, I could actually change how the standards are written and instead categorize them by weapon, with or without a misc. section for additional thoughts. This would allow me to describe multiple moves at once and say what I need or want to about specific examples, and possibly make the blog shorter due to some unnecessary content being cut out. (and I really hope it's not another two-parter). That being said, it'll end up making the blog a lot more... clumpy, if that makes sense, as it'll indeed make the blog a bunch of large sections rather than a kit of individual moves, as well as potentially reduce the total amount of info I can give out for each and every move.
I like both options equally, so since what matters most in this is your opinion, please give me your thoughts, simply pressing the button of your choice is plenty. If the answer is inconclusive or equal I'll go with what I deem best, but obviously I will value the audience's desires more.

I played the heck outta that game, it's unironically one of my favorite pokemon rom hacks
imo it just depends on how interesting you think the normals will be if they are formatted individually
There are a handful of really fun ideas I'm looking forward to discussing which on their own validate the regular format.
But there are some blander ideas for certain reasons. One weapon is a sword, which intentionally makes a few of their standards really static and similar to other characters, intentionally for the sake of consistency and reliability (you can always fall back on those moves in pretty much any situation). Other moves also end up being relatively similar, but only to each other.
Hence why it feels like a bit of a 50/50. Equal strengths for both, I'd just like to see what's more appealing to the audience

it sounds like it is a decision with a probably neutral effect. tbh id just opt for what you find more fun, but you also mentioned not having a preference so idk :p coin flip lol

both my own interest in the idea and the votes of others are leaning towards the latter option
