Hello, I’m that G&W main you totally see everyday,and I thought of a fighter. A very beloved, yet underrated fighter,that got hated on because of a Sticker & a Star. That’s right, it’s Wa- I mean Paper Mario! I even made a moveset for the guy & have you complain about how trash he is ;) Are you-a ready? WELL-A TOO-A BAD-A, LET’S-A-GO:

Jab

Constant?: True

Damage per hit: 1.5%

Final hit damage: 3%

Information: Paper Mario quickly punches 2 times. If the 2nd one hits, he immediately pulls out a book & have the pages constantly turn in your opponent’s face.

I

Tilts

Up Tilt: An exact copy of Mario’s Up Tilt, doing 5.5%.

Forward Tilt: Paper Mario takes off his hat & bows, then quickly puts it back on. His hat when bowing does 4.5%, when he’s putting it back on it does 6%.

Down Tilt: Paper Mario takes out a paper bone & quickly hits the ground with it. Does 6%.

Aerials

Neutral Air: Paper Mario crumbles up into a ball and spins a bit, then goes to normal. If opponent is hit on the first 3 frames, they take 10.5%. Any time after that is 7%.

Up Air: Paper Mario faces the screen & spins once before facing forward once more. No matter where you hit your opponent, they’ll always get knocked back the way you were facing beforehand, but a little upwards. If your opponent is hit on the first 2 frames of the move, they take 9%. Any time after that they will take 7.5%.

Forward Air: Paper Mario pulls out his signature papercraft hammer & swings it forwards. No matter when you hit your opponent, they’ll always take 11%.

Back Air: Once again,Paper Mario takes his hammer out, but now takes a quick stab with it behind him. Does 10% no matter where your opponent’s hit.

Down Air: Paper Mario folds into a paper airplane & dives directly below himself. Whether you hit your opponent when you’re diving or when you land, they’ll take 9.5%.

Smash Attacks

Up Smash: Spins & folds into a sharp cone & springs up just a little bit. Deals 17%.

Forward Smash: Takes out an open book. When finished charging, Paper Mario closes the book. Deals 14.5%.

Down Smash: Pulls out the papercraft hammer. When finished charging, Paper Mario slams it downwards & deals 15.5%. Has a 20% chance to ground the opponent.

Grab

Range equal to Mr. Game & Watch’s grab range.

Pummel: Hits opponent with an Eekhammer. Each hit deals 3.5%.

All throw animations are equal except Down Throw. Up Throw, Forward Throw & Back Throw all toss your opponent in the most sensible direction & all deal 7.5%. The animation for each throw shows Paper Mario switching to a KO Hammer & swinging it in front of him.

Down Throw: Sprints on top of the victim & they get trampled, then tossed a little upward. Deals 9%.

Specials!

Neutral B: Fires 3 fireballs. All have the same size as Mario/Luigi’s, but deal less damage each. Each fireball deals 2%.

Recovery/Up B:Similar to Sonic’s recovery,Paper Mario’s boots turn into Hopslippers for a split second before he springs high into the air, whether on the ground or not. If Paper Mario hits an opponent with this move, they’ll take 5%. Like almost all other recoveries, after using this move,he won’t be able to perform any other moves unless he reaches the ground or a ledge.

Side B: Paper Mario forms into a paper airplane & glides a far distance until transforming back to normal with a jump. If he touches the ground while gliding, he’ll automatically jump out of it. If you want to stop gliding, you can jump to cancel it. Those hit by Paper Mario when gliding will take 8.5%. Glide distance is half of Final Destination.

Down B: Pulls some stickers half-way from the ground. They disappear if you don’t pull them a second time. If you do pull them a second time, they’ll all spurt out & every sticker will do 4.5%. The stickers are different weapons from the Paper Mario Series. The amount of stickers from the ground can range from 5-10.

Other Informaton

Shield: Like Yoshi, Paper Mario’s shield is special. Instead of a generic shield, Paper Mario blocks. It functions like any other shield would.

Dash Attack: Swings a clean paintbrush in front of him, doing 7%.

Ledge Getup Attack: Swings his papercraft hammer downward, similar to Mr. Game & Watch’s Ledge Attack. Deals 8%.

Final Smash: Charges forward, similar to King K. Rool,Lucina,etc., meaning you can die if you do it in the air & miss. If you hit your opponent,a cutscene will occur with Paper Mario & the targeted opponent(s) in space as a giant fan emerges from behind Earth. Paper Mario slowly flaps away while the opponent(s) are blown so hard they hit the screen for a screen KO. The only way to not die is to have less than 120%. When the cutscene ends,the dead respawn & the fight continues.

If you’d really like to,you can rate this guy on a scale of 1-10,or tell me what tier he’d probably be & why. I had to use the Wiki for this, I like to see what can combo with what more than I like to know damage percent,so I used a Smash Wiki for that. But,yea! Fingers crossed Paper Mario will get in! Actually...I don’t think he will. Piranha Plant got in,but Paper Mario doesn’t have a big chance unless they confirm a Paper Mario port or game on the Switch,similar to Isabelle & Animal Crossing. Hope you enjoyed & keep praying for your character in Smash!
