Hey guys, hopefully everyone has had a safe halloween night ! (I've been stuck at the office for god knows how long). We are currently working on a few things like usual and would like to involve you as well. You guys know the deal. We as a community are in a transition

Featured Feed layout review.

Color: To be determined

We will be setting up a poll momentarily to determine the color of the app.

Red will be used as the template until we have a community consensus.

The colors will change once a month. < This is of course temporary.

(Hopefully we don't go back to purple)

Layout: Format 5

This will be changed and is being used for testing purposes.

Launch image:

The launch image will be returned to its default picture once we have fitted it with the correct dimensions. In the event that is not possible we will let you know.

Side : Smash bros image

This will be the default image for the side until we have set up a contest to determine our

side as a community.

The following changes have been made for the following reasons.

This layout is format 5, it is heavily influenced by our standard issue format 3 however it gives new emphasis on top feature. This new format allows the top featured post to cover the entire screen. If you are an otaku this is the purest form of “NOTICE ME SENPAI” than it can get. On a more serious note, it at adds a considerable amount of vertical length perfect for edits and gifs of all sizes. Unlike format 4 however, this format definitely showcases a more competitive feel due to the other blogs being pushed off screen when first opening the app. By doing so it adds “More” worth to receiving top feature than any of the other formats to date.

We will keep this format for the rest of the week. It will end promptly at

Format 5:

Pros:

-Gives 1 post the limelight instead of 3

-New Aesthetic( Look and feel)

-Adds value to top feature

-Adds vertical space for edits and other graphics

-Feels more “interactive”

-Promotes a sense of competition

-Portrait Screen layout

Cons:

-Diminishes the value of other featured feed slots lower on the feed

-New Dimensions

-Destroys the sense of community when being “featured”

-Warps edits
