Did you guys know that Shadow the Hedgehog and Pinocchio have a lot in common? Yeah it's actually pretty fucking crazy. Both are visions of brilliant creators with fabulous facial hair and noses brought to life (Robotnik and Geppetto), they were brought to life through supernatural means (The DNA of Black Doom and Evelyn Venable), they are both driven by a goal directly related to their upbringing (Maria's Death and the goal to become a "real" boy), they both have an overbearing voice that is literally on their shoulders, guiding them through their journeys (Black Doom and Jiminy Cricket), they're conflicted, always teetering back and forth between the paths of light and dark to find their true calling, not choosing fast enough is the direct cause for later events (Biolizard and getting stuck in the whale), both ultimately lead to their blaze of glory, cementing them on the path of good (Teaming up with Sonic and making it home to Geppetto), during this time they have a "THIS IS WHO I AM!" moment, showing how they've come to with their identity, and in the end, both get what they desire. Shadow moves on from the memories he lost, forging new ones. Pinocchio proved his good heart, truly becoming a real boy
