Ever since the whole pedo thing with the smash community it really hasn’t gone up, yeah sure we got a DLC character but it was very predictable plus with byleth which most people didn’t like. Plus we really haven’t got anything for 3 months because of this dumb COVID-19 thing. But I’m not saying the devs or Sakurai are being slow it’s just with everything going on with the world plus the state of the community. However there has been a rumor going around saying we might get one this month so yeah. This new DLC character will wether bring back the community we loved or announce its death so my friends my question for you is do you think the community is dead?

I wouldn’t say the game as a whole is dead but when the incident happened the community died
If you asked me 4 months ago I would've said it's dying but right now it's flourishing. We've had slippi which has brought old melee players back and has in general brought loads of people back to melee. Ultimate has been getting some great updates such as small battlefield and patch 8.0.0. Smash content is always improving and we've also got some scumbags out of the community. If you can confidently say the community is dying then you seriously need to think again. We're doing great and I'm excited to see where the community ends up.

I don't it it's getting stale because I love smash. The real ones are gonna stick around no matter what. You can denounce it now but you're still going to play the game, me and you both know that. Smash is too much fun as a game.
Also your question is about the smash community and you say melee is separate?

I will it that I might go back to it from time to time but I have been noticing that there’s another fighting game that’s more fun to play which is making me fall out of smash as much as I hate to say it smash for me is just slipping away but hopefully I can get back into it but if not idk

Ngl, I can confidently say Smash is stale af now
I used to enjoy it but- all of its flaws have fully shown through and I'm just not having fun with it anymore. This game had its run, it was mostly good, but I'm done with it. I also know plenty of other people who feel the same way, and if you look at a lot of people who make fighting game tier lists, you'll see Smash consistently places mid to low tier(this includes someone part of the Smash community like Leffen). I believe as a game, Smash is starting to die, as a community it continues to pull in new people, and I'm glad it does. I want to like the game but, right now I'm done. I'm heading to Fighterz.
I mean can there be an option of 50/50 because people are still here
