It's Not Fair!!!

In case you've been living under a rock for your entire life

SMASH 4 ISN'T FUCKING BALANCED!!!

And it raises the question, why are some characters better than others?

In this blog we'll be talking about why it's not so bad that Sm4sh isn't balanced. Let's go ahead and get started

Metagame

First and foremost, the game must develop. The reason that the metagame progresses is because of imbalances in the roster. Imagine if every character were just equally as good as each other. (Do keep in mind that every character has their own strong points.) Seriously though imagine that, Jigglypuff and other low and mid tier characters as good as Cloud and Bayonetta (#BuffThePuff). Everyone is top tier, it would be like a platformer with one level for the entire game. The game would stay the same competitively and a stale competitive scene isn't good.

Fun

Secondly, the game needs to be fun. Like I said earlier if every character were as good as each other it would be like a platformer with only one level and that wouldn't be fun. There needs to have variety and in order for that to happen shit needs to be unfair. Some of you are probably saying, “ What's the fun in getting stuck in a Bayonetta combo?”. The fun is the satisfaction you get when you successfully SDI out of it and get that SWEET ASS PUNISH! Unless you can't SDI then you're out of luck… Sorry. But doesn't it feel great when you land one of Ganondorf’s strong hits, get a nice Falcon zero-to-death, or land Jigglypuff’s Rest? Of course it is!

Complaining

Honestly if the game were actually balanced we wouldn't be able to complain and it's just human nature that we want something to blame when we lose and that's not possible if you and your opponents have the same stuff. Of course there's still stages and shit, but…

I'm done trying to be relevant

Yeah, probably not the best thing I could've done as a blog, but people on here are smart know what needs to be talked about and this is all I could think of so… If you read this thank you if you didn't well that's fine too, it would've been a waste of your time anyway.
