Mr. Video Game Himself

   I tried to design a playing card for Mario and I think I would like to continue making more for the roster. It helps me practice different poses and background art. Luckily all the characters are already numbered.

  I'd also love to take requests from the community to continue practicing and help keep myself motivated to draw. Art blocks are hard to break sometimes.

   What I personally enjoy about Mario is his accessibility and simplicity.

   With any competitive game he is in, Mario is the best for beginners but is hard to master. His stats are always generally balanced and provide a reliable choice for anyone to play. He is the average everyman in all his games.

   His moves in Smash Ultimate are great and swift with his jab doing a good amount of knockback and smash attacks being incredibly powerful.

   People also forget Mario technically has a reflector with his signature cape. His tilts are quick and great ways to start combos like his uptilt and down tilt. His recovery has been buffed from the Wii U and 3DS, which is now a more reliable kill move.

I wish they kept his Fire Mario skin as that was one of my favorites but the wedding outfit and Mario Maker costume are awesome as well.

   Overall Mario is easy to use but tough to master as a fighter and he was my first main all the way back in Melee. A cultural icon and rivals Micky Mouse as a household name.
