“nothing wrong with making money”

hello ‘tis twobands here to talk about an insolent af mindset because i am so much better than everyone else

a common criticism of Ultimate content is that it is uninspired and “soulless” in the sense that creators are obviously doing it for money and not out of interest or ion for content creation

every single time I’ve seen someone make this valid criticism they get hit with “well you can’t blame [insert youtuber] for wanting money”

no fucking shit i am criticizing their content not their fucking personality or morals

this mindset is so annoying bc it fails to see such an obvious distinction between criticizing a creator and criticizing a person, then it assumes that anyone criticizing content for being soulless is just some dickwit who shits on content creators for no reason

despite it obviously not being a criticism of the person behind the content
