PSA: Slurs, "Jokes" and the Guidelines

Hello SBA, EmblemD here, today I'll be talking about some things that are apparently not very well specified on the guidelines.

Slurs

For the love of fuck please try to avoid using slurs of any kind on public chats or blogs, it's really not funny, you can be like "well I'm gay so I can say f*g" but in reality you're not gonna state you're gay everytime you say it and people will get confused, then we at the staff have to spend time fact checking on you to see if you're a homosexual, same goes for the n word and any other slur.

The use of slurs in memes / images has always been a really grey line, please make sure that if you post a meme with these words that it has a clear comedic purpose instead of something like "fuck n*ggas" that you think it's funny because it's so random.

Now, as time es in the internet, a lot of things change and what is considered correct or wrong also changes, this brings to a controversial topic on some public chats recently:

The use of "trap".

Trap, as of more recent times, has been used as an insult to devaluate a lot of trans people, so as time goes by this word has become more and more disliked by the general public.

The word, in any case or context, remains as a bad one however, so, regardless off your reasons, please AVOID using this word to refer to any fucking person, it's not fucking cool, don't refer to yourself as a trap either, I will PERSONALLY beat the shit out of you.

If you have any questions as to why feel free to DM me, or leave a comment below, but if you're gonna debate with me I expect you to be willing to listen and reach a conclusion instead of blatantly saying I'm wrong.

I will say, some people people are clearly uncool with the word "retard" but that's a bigger grey line that I can't speak for, just make sure if someone is clearly not okay with it that you stop saying it infront of them, you'll save yourself and the staff some problem.

"Jokes"

What I mean with this, is that people seem to think its funny to call things and each other "gay" hahahahaha no homo though like oh my god shut up.

It's really uncool when what you are is used as an insult instead of saying something like "that's cringe" "that's anticlimactic/uncool" people tend to go for "gay"

You WON'T get in trouble for things like these, I'm just letting you know that

1. It's really ignorant

2. You're really unfunny

The same goes for the attack helicopter "joke", it's been used to devaluate the identity of many in the present and we're not in 2016, if you still think it's funny and use it then you were never funny, you're never funny and probably won't ever be funny.

You WON'T get in trouble for these things I'm just letting you know that you're either

1. An asshole

2. Really fucking unfunny

The second option is worse than being an asshole and the most likely.

So please, avoid doing shit like that.

I will take this last line to remind everyone that any sort of blatant homophobia, transphobia, pedophilia, zoophilia, grooming, harassment, etc. All that fucked up shit will NOT be tolerated and will likely get you banned.

It's not hard to not be an asshole to others.
