1. Who is Shovel Knight?
Shovel Knight is the main character of his Indie game with same name. In this 8 bit platform styled game, he uses his main weapon, the Shovel Blade, to attack enemies and find treasures. His goal is defeat the Enchantress, her Knights, and save his old partner Shield Knight.
2. Why he deserves to be playable in Smash?
- He is in Smash, but as a Assist Trophy, so he already have some moves and a 3D model for the game.
- He is a popular request, and a good representation for Indie games.
- So many people says that we have many sword fighters is Smash, and he uses a Shovel, not a sword.
3. Moveset and Animations
Normal attack: He attacks twice, but If you hits a 3rd time he attacks repeatly, like some characters like Kirby and Sheik.
Foward tilt: attack with Shovel Blade foward
Up tilt: attack with Shovel Blade up.
Down tilt: he crounchs and attack with Shovel Blade in a short distance.
Dash attack: He runs and attack with Shovel Blade in a long distance.
Neutral Air: He spins attacking with his helmet horns.
Foward Air: He uses the Shovel Blade as a Spike attack.
Back Air: He holds his weapon with one hand and attacks back.
Up Air: same that Link's.
Down Air: once again, same that Link's.
Foward Smash: a strong attack with his Iron gloves.
Up Smash: a uppercut with his Iron gloves.
Down Smash: same that Villager's.
Neutral Special: He shoots a Green spell ball, with Mario's neutral B physics, but better.
Foward Special: He throws a Hook, this attack looks like Simon's axe.
Up Special: Shield Knight appears and give him a boost, If you hit her, she will counter.
Down Special: He gets untouched for a little time, however, you Just can use this move 5 times per stock, likes Banjo's wonderwing.
Final Smash: Shovel Knight will attack with Shovel Blade, If he hits, all the Knights will appear and attack the fighter.
Taunt animations:
TA1: he lift his Shovel, like he does after defeat a Boss.
TA2: He put his weapon in the ground and Cross his Arms.
TA3: He holds a money bag.
Victory Screen animations:
VA1: Same that TA1
VA2: He opens a chest with Gold inside
VA3: He sits in the ground and sleeps, like he does in dreams part.

6. King Knight's castle
As a Rep stage for Shovel Knight game in Smash, in The King Knight's castle we can see as stage Hazards: Spawning earth blocks and Treasure chests with some item inside. Also, the Knight bosses appears in background, except for Black Knight.
