Good morning, everybody! I imagine that things are well?
Sora, the beloved pure boy protagonist from Kingdom Hearts, formally arrived in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate last night. I broke him in for a few battles, and...
...I like him. I wouldn't quite put him in my "mains", but he's got a simple moveset akin to Mario, Banjo, and Pit. His actual KO power is somewhat weaker, but he is fantastic in the air. Sora is decently enjoyable for me.
Okey-dokey. For the very last time, allow me to share my most and least favorite colors and how I rank this character's Direct.

Favorite Color: Timeless River design
My favorite alternate color for Sora is this vintage grayscale one, based on something called Timeless River.
I don't follow Kingdom Hearts, but this costume gives Sora a rather endearing classic design similar to how Mickey Mouse looked in his first appearance, Steamboat Willie. As Sora himself has clothing derived from Mickey, I'd say that the costume is a nice full circle...
Otherwise, this color is perfect alongside OG Dedede and the monochrome look for characters like Kirby and Mr. Game & Watch.
I also dig his blue, zebra white, and predominantly black costumes.

Least Favorite Color: 3D: Dream Drop Distance design
Hm, how can I say this without stomping on others' opinions? As much as I appreciate that Sora's costumes are based on different outfits he has within his games, I feel that the first half of them have colors that blend together.
This red one is based on how Sora looks in Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance. To stress, I am an outsider to Kingdom Hearts; I don't doubt that each of Sora's costumes are fun, but feel like this red is just a bit too similar to some of the other ones.
Now, how do I feel about Sora's Direct? Bring the very last one for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, it ended off on a bang. Masahiro Sakurai did a nice job highlighting just how big the roster is and made Sora feel at home. Between all of that and the magical trailer, I happily put Sora's Direct as my fourth favorite, just after Banjo-Kazooie.
Okay then! This is the very last time I'll talk about a character like this. Chances are, I'm not entirely going to stop blogging here on Smash Amino; I'll see what else I can discuss in the future. That said, it was a pleasure sharing my detailed thoughts on everyone in Ultimate with fellow Smash fans. 🤗
Thanks for reading!

I'm honestly really happy that Sora got into the game. Now, it isn't the characters themselves that make good mains, it's the people who play them.
