Whuzzat? Whaddya mean you don't know who Tempo is?

Anyways, Salutations fellow SmashAmino s! Tempo here and..

Happy Halloween I guess! (Despite this post having nothing to do with Halloween)

So the topic on hand! Who exactly is Tempo? Well, to answer your question. He is the protagonist of the 3DS Title Harmoknight. A very unheard-of game that is one of my favorites, and is the actual reason for my name! Now that I've caught you up to speed, let's get to the post!! (Shout out to http://aminoapps.programascracks.com/p/026b57 for being the inspiration of this blog!)

{~Tilts~}

F-Tilt- Horizontal Swing of his staff doing about 5-6%

D-Tilt- Swings his staff forward doing 3% but has a chance to trip opponents.

U-Tilt- An overhead swing similar to T-Links doing 4-5%. Can be used consecutive times like Marios U-Tilt, but can be DI'd out of.

{~Jab~}

1st Press- a simple punch doing 3-4%. Minimal Knockback so its more likely to get the second punch.

2nd Press- another punch from the opposite arm doing identical damage to the first punch. A bit more knockback with a small frame to escape.

3rd Press- An upward swing of the staff similar to Shulks end jab. Does 6-7%

Average Knockback.

{~New Mechanic for Jab~}

Since Harmoknight is a rhythm based game, I figured there could be some rhythm based mechanic. Executing a jab to the tempo of whatever song is playing will reward the player with a little extra damage. More damage will be rewarded due to the fact that if the jab is executed slowly it will leave Tempo open to attack, or the jab can be shielded. However with this in mind, this could also be used for baiting players. Doing a jab to the tempo could urge the opponent to shield, which can be used as a read to try and grab.

{~Grabs~}

Pummel- Rapidly Knees the grabbed opponent for 4% for each pummel

(I was considering including the pummel in the whole rhythm based mechanic, but opponents will likely mash out of it before any timed hits are made)

F-Throw- Tempo shoves the opponent forward. Will launch at a low angle if high%.

B-Throw- Tempo will do a 180° turn and toss the opponent. Also launches at low angle if high%.

U-Throw- Toss the opponent up and can combo into N-air.

D-Throw- Tempo will push the opponent to the ground then whack them with an overhead swing of his staff. Will launch at an acute angle at mid high%.

{~Smash Attacks+Random Note Mechanic~}

F-Smash- Tempo will swing his staff. Upon execution, a random note is played.

The higher the note, the higher the damage. 10-15% depending on charge. The RNG of the note can add 1-5% Damage.

U-Smash- An Upward Swing of the Staff with the same random note RNG and damage as the F-Smash.

D-Smash- Two swings that cover both sides of Tempo. The first swing is where ever Tempo is facing. The first swing will do slightly more damage then the second.

Still implementing the Random Note RNG.

{~Specials~}

Neutral-B- Tempo will begin charging his staff like he can in game while running.

Similar to Roy's Neutral-B, more damage for longer charge. 5-30% Damage depending on the length of charge. Can Break Shields if the shield has been partially used and the move has been fully charged.

Side-B- Tempo will launch forward a random enemy from Harmoknight. It will be from a pool of 3 Sproinks. Normal, Rock, and Jazz. The Normal will do 5%, but it travels swiftly and bounces 3 times before disappearing. The rock variant will bounce 2 times, but travel slower with 7% dealt. The jazz variant does 3%, but can keep bouncing after ing an opponent. So it will knock the opponent back, keep bouncing so it hits multiple times until it falls off stage.

Up-B- Tempo will summon a Topi, one of the birds you can randomly save throughout the levels via smashing open their secret eggs. It will lift him up in a similar fashion to DuckHunts recovery.

{~Taunts~}

UpTaunt- Tempo will do a short leap in a similar pose to the leap he does when beating a stage.

SideTaunt- Tempo does a 360° spin and poses. Based on the move he does during a "Dancing with Queen Octarina" event.

DownTaunt- Tempo does the wave, then looks around, realizing there's no one else to do the wave with.

Aaaand that's all I could think of moveset wise! Please note I did not include the Air moves because it would use be more staff swings and percent damages. Lemme know if you have any other ideas for his move sets. I'd like to hear your guys' opinions! Anyways! That's the end of this blog! Thanks for reading!

-Warm Regards, Tempo!
