Other than being one of those “extremely rare” people who beat a top player with an underrated character (which doesn’t even mean anything in Ult because literally every character is viable (yes including Mac who has made top 16 at a major before)), I can’t think of one positive thing she’s done. First thing she did was get bullied. To be fair, she was the victim in the situation but the manner which she did it made it seems almost ingenuine (she continued on with smash as if nothing happened hours after she reactivated her twitter), and gave the Smash community a worse reputation than it ever had before. Second thing was not being sorry for blatant racism. As a black person, the n word with a hard r is just disgusting to me and it’s completely inappropriate in every scenario. No exceptions. Stroder immediately forgave when the screenshots were released, yet Bocchi tried to play the victim card in a situation where she was committing an offense. She did eventually take back her actions but it still does not resonate with me.
Then there’s this tweet she made recently.

She disses European players who never got an opportunity to take big names, even though there are a lot more European players who were miles closer to PGR than her. The worse part is probably the way she responded to people being upset with her afterwards.

Can’t even explain this.
I know people are trying to quell cancel culture but Bocchi uses it to her favor really; staying relevant by being controversial and knowing there won’t be serious repercussions for it. I think she should be cancelled but that’s just what I think.
Anyways, that’s a long enough rant for today.
Best Wishes, Draco

Bocchi became like every one hit wonder
Did one thing remarkable and then vanished
Unfortunately thats true. I really looked up to her and her Belle :pensive:
Wasn’t even that remarkable of a thing considering who it was against and the were literally no stakes for losing

You get the point
She did something that shocked people and then vanished
Mac ain’t viable
Post instantly disqualified smh
Tell that to the Japanese Mac who places well consistently
Reply to: Draco
Sure I will if I had the chance
Which Mac has made top 16 at a countable major?

Sumabato SP 4 was the tournament and it was a tier

Also I don’t feel like getting into this argument but there are multiple cases of characters being viable and not winning tournaments. Viability is more of getting consistent good results, if a character hard peaks they don’t become viable, the best example of that being T at Civil War. That tournament was by far the most stacked in Smash 4 history and it was any Link’s best results throughout all of the game’s lifespan, it even made Link’s results better than some high tiers. Yet this didn’t make Link any more viable than he was before because it was a one time thing, no one expected the matchup or playstyle T had and they got clapped for it. It’s a different case for Tarakatori with Mac, he got 13th at the 2 most recent Umeburas he’s attended so he’s proven himself there. He did both of those with solo Mac.

I have no idea where you're taking the stats but according to the smash wiki on Panda Global's ranking (aka the ones who set up the pgr and all forms of ranking)
It isn't an A tier
But yeah, this is just a dumb extended argument. Let's just agree to disagree.
Good post anyways, fuck bocchi

Ok but the tournament was actually an A Tier
It wasn’t Sumabato SP 4 or Umebura SP 5, it was Umebura SP 4. That tournament was an A Tier and the link I sent in the last comment was to the official tiering spreadsheet that is run by PGStats where it’s listed as an A Tier.
Am I the only one that thinks that by getting offended at a derogatory term, ypu are, in turn, giving it the power you dont want it to have?
Not neccessarily defending her actions or anything, just something that bothers me
I think about this sometimes.
If we get to the point where anyone can say anything as to not give offensive power then either:
A - new words will be made in their place
B - children get introduced to language that they shouldn’t know
C - Some other thing
Reply to: Draco
I suppose, but then we also have instances of SJWs getting offended on the behalf of people that are already no longer with us, or dont what even happened during WW2, when someone makes a joke at the expense of Nazis, thus, in turn, still giving them power instead turning them into a laughing stock.
Unfortunately, human nature tends to deal in extremes so we may never find a balance
she's fucking stupid, that's all
