So, yeah, I've been thinking of this problem for a long time. I think its a very rare but still pretty big problem that should be taken seriously.
The language barrier
You might think "ah Sylver you fucking stupid idiot, you don't have to read to play the game. People who don't know eachothers language would be able to play against eachother just fine" And yes you'd mostly be right for the most but there is a big exception: Hero. Yes this is going to be a "Why Hero should be banned" blog. But nothing to do with his annoying rng, its something grander.
YOU HAVE TO READ HIS FUCKING MENU
Lets hypothetically say:
You're a Japanese smash player who mains Hero. You do great in Japanese tournaments despite maining a shit character, and are considered one of the best in Japan, but have never really travelled super far to play in a tournament. U.S. EVO is coming up. You decide to travel over and finally show those (mostly) North Americans what a Hero main can do. You don't have a spectacular grasp of English (enough to get by) but thats fine, your English opponents have let you switch the game to Japanese so you can more effectively read your menu, though they obviously seem to be very uncomfortable fighting you because they can't read your menu. You somehow make it pretty far into the tournament. You face an English Hero main who by a spectacular turn of events has made it far as a Hero main too. You can't switch the game to Japanese because your opponent plays Hero too, but he definitely seems uncomfortable and like he really doesnt know what to do. A TO makes the decision to keep it in English. You lose the set because it is fucking insane to expect you to know all of his English spell names when you have little experience with English Hero.
Yes I know that 2 hero mains meeting in tournament who don't speak the same language is a pretty obscure occurrence, but it really shouldn't be left open to happen at all. It would be an undeniably pretty fucking catastrophic failure.
The only way to really fix this huge inherent flaw with the character would be for Sakurai to add in something where 2 languages can be displayed on Hero's menu at the same time. But lets be real thats not gonna be a thing.
A more likely solution would be maybe there could be icons next to the spell names in the menu depicting what they are. That is a pretty good idea I think.
There is my proposal for an offline Hero ban. I don't really have much else to say on the matter but I would love to hear your thoughts and because Sakurai seriously fucked up with this character by adding a fucking language barrier into the game.

That was a different sylver
All I can read is the title
As a non native english speaker I gotta say it really sucked having to read in the middle of the match, I've gotten used to it but symbols would have gone a long way to help out in more radical cases.
WHAT THEY SHOULD DO IS ADD LITTLE ICONS ON THE MENU THAT ARE UNIQUE TO EACH MOVE AND INSTANTLY RECOGNIZABLE
