I feel like tails would have a better chance. Classic sonic/metal sonic would/could be a skin, while I think shadow would still be an assist
I'd be completely ok with Metal Sonic.
Eggman, Metal Sonic, And Emerl The Gizoid would have such great move sets if they would be in smash.
