Why I wasn't expecting smash switch

Did you guys actually expect a smash game revealed this early in smash 4's lifespan? Because

A. Smash games take a long time to make, putting it out this early would make it rushed and unpolished. And don't tell me "well Melee was a rushed launch title and that was a great game!" Yes, but still. I'd rather a game that took its time with polish and stuff than being rushed out the door

B. It's WAY to early for a new smash game. I know vanilla fox would disagree, but still. There is usually a 6-8 year gap between smash games. Smash 4 only came out 2 years ago. And I know Melee came out 2 years after smash 64, but that was probably because they saw what a gold mine smash was, and were eager to get another game out for their brand new super powerful system.

C. I know there were 1000000 different leaks on this and that, but I don't trust leaks. I feel a lot of people trust leaks too much. Most of them didn't even come true anyways (mother 3, the system coming out march 17 which I'm sad it doesn't because that's my birthday, Mario frost world, it being way more powerful than the Xbox 1, I could go on for hours).
