Alright, let's a little bit of ground. I'm going to be giving reasons on why they should or shouldn't be included. Not actually giving my opinion. That's your job, reader! Alright, let's get started!

Well, why wouldn't they be included? They were in Melee and Brawl. Though, Dr. Mario and Mewtwo made it, and they were only in Melee. If they made it, why wouldn't they put the Ice Climbers? Now, the main reason why I'm targeting the Ice Climbers specifically (which if you don't know this, you've been living under a rock) is because they were planned for the original Sm4sh, but due to them wanting to make both the 3ds and Wii U versions equal, they had to remove them since the 3ds version couldn't seem to handle the Ice Climbers data.
They have always seemed like an amazing idea, and since they were two individuals in one may be why they were so strong. Yes, chain grabbing isn't enabled like Melee and Brawl, but they were strong regardless. The ability to desync was revolutionary, and even though I can't wobble like the king himself, it made the Ice Climbers insanely good!
Popo was the lead Ice Climber as the AI ally was Nana, as the default skin. Popo would be your input, and Nana would follow the inputted move. In Super Smash Brothers, you could alternate the leading Ice Climber and color skins! It just felt so satisfying to me for some odd reason to change the leading Ice Climber, and go in with a fresh start. They were always fun, and even though Rosalina and Luma are a duo, they'll never quite be like the Ice Climbers. Whenever I played the Ice Climbers, I thought "fun!" Then, I look up a competitive Ice Climber and I don't want to mess with them. It really is great to see a party character also be an insane character in competitive-fashioned Super Smash Brothers!
The Ice Climbers were able to fight with their strong, swift attacks, so novices could wip out an attack easily! There recovery was t, and really made you have to think about them as an unit! For speed and attack, comes a price!

Now, if we are going to make a fair, honest post, then we must talk about both sides of the spectrum! Though, why would they be included?

Well, even though they were the first duo styled characters, without their ability to grab constantly, and consistly, because the ability to regrab was nerfed, leading to you having to wait a second, would they still be such a good part in the competitive scene? Maybe since this Super Smash Brothers 4, they'll get rid of desyncing, as well! Even if desyncing is enabled still, it won't be nearly as useful, since chain grabs aren't a thing anymore. It's been 2 years, so why try now?
Now, let's be considerate on the for fun side. They were a duo, so wouldn't they be fun? Well, , because they're a duo, when one dies, there's a MAJOR setback for the main Ice Climber. The recovery will be almost useless, they can't cover nearly as much range, and their attacks will drasticly do less damage! It may even throw off the mobility you once thought was great! Now, take into , all of this has to go on in your head, and your new to this game. It may make them not want to play the character anymore, because they aren't going to be able to do anything once their partner Ice Climber dies! Is the enjoyability really going to be, well, enjoyable?

Now, I've given you a bit more in site, go think! I wanted to write this to give you some wiggle room to link things that won't make them seem like a good edition, or some things that will make them improve on them being included in Super Smash Brothers for the Switch! , this is strictly your decision. I've given points on each side of the argument, now you choose what side you'd like! Well, that'll be all! This has been Luna, and now, I say farewell, Super Smash Brothers Amino!

Hopefully not
Popo is the one you're controlling, not the other way around
Other than that, pretty good post!

Thanks Luna
No thanks needed! You came up with a grand concept!
