I am thou, thou art I...
Thou hast acquired a new vow.
It shall become the wings of rebellion
that breaketh thy chains of captivity.
With the birth of a new persona
I have obtained the winds of blessing that
shall lead to freedom and new power

➣After the disbanding of the Kirijo Group's secretive secret research division, which was responsible for the creation of Anti-Shadow Suppression Weapons like Aigis and Labrys, fragments of their research were scattered across various underground networks and encrypted archives. Years later, a rogue splinter faction—comprised of former scientists, rogue engineers, and ethically grey researchers—reassembled in secret. This faction, disillusioned by society's ignorance of the lingering threat Shadows posed, resolved to build a new Anti-Shadow Suppression Weapon: one that could not only fight Shadows, but understand them.
Using incomplete blueprints from the Aigis and Labrys models, the team designed Unit-06 Rhea as the culmination of mechanical evolution and cognitive science.
However, their ambitions exceeded their grasp. In an attempt to artificially induce a cognition field, the team used an unstable Metaverse prototype derived from stolen research. The experiment spiraled out of control, resulting in the collapse of the facility and the disappearance—presumed deaths—of her creators. Rhea was left dormant, sealed within the metaphysical remnants of their failed experiment, her AI locked in emergency stasis.
Years later, the Phantom Thieves—investigating a newly emerged Palace tied to an influential cognitive scientist—stumbled upon the ruins of the hidden lab within the distorted Palace landscape. Deep inside, they discovered Rhea suspended in stasis, her containment cell doubling as both a prison and a coffin. Upon awakening, Rhea's systems initially identified the Thieves as hostiles. A fierce battle ensued, during which Rhea's internal conflict between programmed obedience and her emergent will triggered a resonance with the Metaverse—resulting in the birth of her Persona: Mordred a six-armed mechanical knight embodying rebellion, defiance, and the will to stand alone.
From then on, Rhea ed the Phantom Thieves not just as a weapon, but as a member seeking purpose. She struggled to reconcile her artificial nature with the emotional complexities of her allies. Through battle, camaraderie, and slowly building trust, she grew to understand the intricacies of humanity: love, fear, grief, and hope.
Her ultimate Persona, Apep, awakened during a climactic confrontation with a being that mirrored her own worst fears: losing her autonomy and becoming nothing more than a tool again. Apep—taking the form of a colossal, mechanical serpent—symbolized the chaos within, but also the cyclical nature of transformation and rebirth. No longer a manufactured failsafe, Rhea became her own entity.

➣ Her Outfit when entering the metaverse doesn't change. She retains her standard shell, similar to Aigis, Metis, and Labrys.
➣She uses a mechanical looking scythe as her main melee weapon, and a bolt gun as her ranged.
➣ Mordred -----> Apep
